Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship: Rose’s Metal lead alloy: 50%Bi / 25%Pb / 25%Sn: 1# – 2# ingots. Shipped after fabrication to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co ATCS in California, for an undisclosed program name.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Sheetrock, 48″ x 96″: 1/64″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 5/8″ sheet rock. Sold to a general contractor in New England for x-ray shielding. this contractor is building a new radiology room and required large quantities of this item for the project.
- Fabricate and ship per customer specifications: hundreds of special lead washers and spacers. This was shipped to an engineering firm in New Jersey for unknown purposes.
- Fabricate complete per specification provided by customer: 6% Antimony / Lead shielding: Sold to our regular customer at a National Laboratory facility for fusion experiments. This customer uses Nuclead on a regular basis to fabricate special materials and services, due to our sophisticated capabilities, consistent quality and quick deliveries. All work is per military and government specifications for classified experiments.
- Fabricate and ship Pure Lead foil coils: 0.007″ x 12.00″ wide. Sold to a Laboratory in Oklahoma for radiation shielding.
- Fabricate and ship third recent order of Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Type A = Flat cap: Sold to a mason in New England for restoration projects.
- Fabricate and ship Tuyau PB/Lead pipe: 1.50″ id x .070″ wall x 60″ lg. sold to an energy company in Canada for shielding purposes.
- Fabricate complete per specification provided – Bismuth (Bi)/Pb lead Alloy, 1# – 2# ingots: 55.5%Bi / 44.5%Pb Alloy: Sold to our regular customer Lockheed Martin. This customer uses Nuclead on a regular basis to fabricate special materials and services, due to our consistent quality, pricing and delivery.
- Fabricate and ship: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″: Sold to a machine shop in Wisconsin, for its own value added services.
- Fabricate and ship 1,000+ pieces of special 6% antimony lead alloy D-Rings. Sold to a government supplier for unknown usage.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Round: 2.44″ diameter x 13″ long: Sold to University of Illinois, Nuclear, Plasma & Radiological Engineering department, for testing coupons.
- Fabricate per customer specification: Various sizes and shapes of AMS-7721 Antimony Lead alloy plate. Shipped to specialty machine company in Illinois for undisclosed purposes.
From Inventory
- Extrude pure lead wire: 5/8″ diameter on 25# spools. Shipped to a Drydock in Washington State, for ship repair.
- Cut & Ship Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 48.00″ x 96.00″: Sold to a marina in Maryland to be used as ballast and sound proofing
- Ship one ton of Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to a distributor in Indiana for resale
- Cut & Ship Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 48.00″ x 84.00″: Sold to a general contractor in New England for unknown purposes.
- Pick and ship from inventory: Lead sheet/flashing: 1/24″ x 10″ x 24′ (288″). Sold to a Local Railroad company for their own station repairs
- Pick and ship Virgin lead, Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3″ x 4″ x 20″, loaf shape). Sold to a machine shop for its own value added services in Tennessee
- Pick and ship Lead sheet: 1/64″ x 48.25″ x 120.00″. Delivered via our truck and hand delivered into a local artist’s studio. This artist is world renowned and used Nuclead’s lead products regularly for; abstract art work and sculptures.
