Led Ballast in the form of lead shot, lead bricks or cast lead keels from NucleadEvery month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead based products such as Lead Ballast, Lead T-Caps, Lead Lined Sheetrock, and Radiation Shielding.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services. Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.

From Inventory

  • Pick and ship from in stock inventory: Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: sold to an aviation company that fabricate propellers. These customer uses the materials to balance the propellers.
  • Pick and ship from in stock inventory: 2 tons of lead ballast: Sold to a repeat customer in New England for fishing boat ballast.
  • Saw and ship multiple lead shielding panels over 4′ wide. Sold and shipped to a fabrication house in New York for its own punch and water jet fabrication of the same.
  • Saw and ship sample order of lead sheeting: Sold to a government sub-contractor in Canada for testing. Future orders pending upon approval.
  • Saw ship and deliver 1/64″ lead sheeting, 48″ wide x 24′ long to a art studio in Brooklyn, NY.
  • Saw & ship two orders of 1/4″ thick radiation protection lead plate per customers written specifications: Sold to a national OEM of x-ray equipment and delivered to Vermont.
  • Saw lead shielding to customer specifications: Sold to a metal fabrication company for its own value added services.
    Pick and ship two tons of pure pig lead: sold to a customer in South Carolina, to be re-melted for their own product manufacturing.
  • Pick and ship from largest inventory in the United States: Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to a full service construction company that requires the lead wool for roof flashing caulking.
  • Pick and ship Solder: 63Sn/37Pb wire solder 1/8″ dia., 1# – 50# coils, sold to a customer for unknown use in SC using Nuclead’s Amazon Seller Central inventory.
  • Pick and ship Solder: Solder: 95/5 Pb /Sb solder – 1/8″ dia., 1# – 50# coils, sold to a customer for unknown use in AZ using Nuclead’s Amazon Seller Central inventory.
  • Pick and ship Virgin Tin: Grade A “Sn”: Sold to an auto body company in New England for repair work.
  • Pick and saw lead plate: sold to a specialty metal supplier in Tennessee for resale.

Fabricated Lead Products

  • Lead Extrude and ship: Weathercap, Lead-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x .812″ joint depth x 21′ lengths; Type A = Flat cap: Sold to a restoration company in New England for a church restoration project.
  • Fabricate and ship copper foil with 3m 97057 transfer adhesive; Slit and re-roll into plastic core spools, and ship to a customer in Pennsylvania for unknown purposes.
  • Fabricate and ship pure lead pipe: Ship to a water department for evaluation and training purposes.
  • Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″: Ship to a major State university for radiation shielding project.
  • Fabricate and ship lead pipe: Sold to a machine shop in llinois for its own value added purposes.
  • Prove a sample item of .007″ pure lead foil. Sold to a National Laboratory. If acceptable a large purchase will follow.
  • Fabricate and ship Nuclead brand, cast Kirksite zinc alloy #3 or #4: = 4% Al / 96%Zn: Sold to a major auto restoration firm in Utah for repair work.
  • Fabricate and ship many lead construction items including: Lead lined sheetrock and lead lined plywood. Sold to a small community college in New York for a new x-ray room for shielding.

Valued Added Engineering Services

  • Fabricate and ship lead seals per customer blue prints. These high tolerance seals are made with 4% antimony lead bar stock, fabricated by Nuclead’s extrusion process. The seals are then CNC turned per print and other secondary processes. They are sold to a US government authorized distributor of aerospace items.
  • Fabricate and ship 3% antimony lead alloy seal product. Nuclead to CNC machine several individual seal items per customer blueprints. Sold to a major government fastener & hardware supplier in California. These items are extremely tight tolerance and sophisticated seals, that meet tolerances within + / – .0005″ or better
  • Nuclead ships second release of three for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems Order: Aerospace & Defense Customer Places multi-release contract for an order of machined sound proofing items: Nuclead shipped 2 releases of 3 this week of an open order received last month; of machined sound-proofing components for the Low Cost Conformal Array (LCCA) being manufactured by Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) Undersea Systems business for the U.S. Navy’s submarine force.
