Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead based products such as Lead Foil, Lead Sheetrock, lead smelting, Lead Wool.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.

Nuclead also has metals analysis capabilities such as nondestructive XRF (X-ray fluorescence) testing.

Nuclead’s has extensive experience in custom precision engineering. Nuclead can cast any standard lead alloy or any custom alloy to your specifications. We can machine your product to your drawings. Nuclead also provides stamping and cutting, lead welding and lead assembly and lamination services.

Fabricated Lead Products

  • Fabricate and Lead line: 0.010″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other @ 4″ wide x 30′ long. Sold to a medical equipment OEM in New England for Radiation shielding.
  • Fabricate and ship: Lead Sheetrock, 48″ x 96″:1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 5/8″ sheet rock. Sold to a large regional General Contractor, for new hospital construction for x-ray shielding and radiation shielding.
  • Secondary Lead smelt pure lead block package. Fabricate complete per quote & sketch provided ARO: Lead Blocks to be 0.75″ thk x 24.63″ wide x (T”) tall. Package consists of:
    • 10 each: (T”) = 9.75″ •1 each: (T”) = 8.50″
    • 2 each: (T”) = 9.50″ •1 each: (T”) = 8.00″

    Sold to a Contractor Building Supply Fabricator of pulp & lumber in Canada.

  • Fabricate and ship: Lead foil: 0.005” x 1″ x 200’, pure lead on a 3.50″ diameter fiber core. *COO*: United State of America: HS code 7804.11; per NAFTA Certificate. This lead tape is used in the mining industry and ship to a plant in Indonesia. The lead materials are used in slurry pumping processes of waste.
  • Fabricate and ship special antimony lead washer seals per customer blue prints. Shipped to a machine shop in New Jersey as part of a larger finished assembly.
  • Fabricate and ship Lead disc: 1/8″ thick x 23.00″ dia (+1/8″ / – .000″)’ holding a tight flatness tolerance. Sold to a machine shop in New England for its own value-added services
  • Fabricate and ship Lead Glass & Frame window assembly with lead lining for x-ray shielding. Sold to a Neuro Surgery clinic in New York.
  • Fabricate lead extrusions and ship: Lead pipe: 0.75″ id x 1/4″ wall x 60.00″ lg. Sold to a Technical institute in New England for underground test purpose.
  • Fabricate lead casting and ship: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking 1.50″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″ brick, chevron style: Sold to a reseller in Nevada for re-sale.
  • Fill customer supplied Stainless Steel vessels with lead and machine to receive cap after filling. Balance all to customer specifications and weld cap to the top of all items. These items are used in a package processing plant in Illinois for a weight calibration machine and QC.
  • Fabricate Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: .687″ wide x .500″ joint depth x 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S

  • Fabricate and ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x .812” joint depth x (Ref: Approx; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required: “Type B” = Inside 90-degree corner cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a restoration company in New England that specializes in large restoration work of stone buildings & churches in New England.
  • Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 2″ wide x .937” joint depth x (Ref: Approx; Two 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded); Type A = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S; https://www.gsa.gov/portal/content/113862. Sold to Restoration company in New England for a historical building project.

  • Nuclead ships last release received this year for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems Orders. A Defense contractor placed multi-release contract for an order of machined sound proofing items using Syntactic SADM Foam Materials: Nuclead shipped its’ last release this week fulfilling its contract received its first quarter this year; of machined sound-proofing components for the Low Cost Conformal Array (LCCA) being manufactured by Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) Undersea Systems business for the U.S. Navy’s submarine force.
  • Pick and ship Lead sheeting for radiation shielding: Sold and shipped 1/16″ x 48.25″ x 291″ lead sheet to an ambulance fleet in New Jersey. This company needs to modify some vehicles with radiation protection for special level III ambulances.

From Inventory

  • Pick and ship Pure Lead foil: 0.016″ x 12.00″ x 240.00″; Package with End Caps required to prevent damage during transit. Specifications per 99.85% Pb: Per (L51123); QQ-L-201 Grade D. Sold To Lockheed Martin for it Space Science division research.
  • Pick and ship from in stock inventory: Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 in 5 lb waterproof bundles. Sold to Airbus for rework of some propellers.
  • Saw and ship from inventory: Lead sheet: 1/32″ x W” x L”: Delivered many different sizes and Qty’s to a medical specialist company in Michigan for the radiation shielding department.
  • Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 12.00″ x 24.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv; sold to a general contractor in Alabama for new hospital construction.
  • Pick and ship from inventory: Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 in 5lb bundle in water proof bags. Sold to an Aircraft supply store in California
  • Saw and ship Lead sheet: 1/32″ x 8.00″ wide, provided in 20′ rolls. Sold to an Medical center research lab at a California State University.
  • Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 in 5lb waterproof bundles: Sold to a reseller in Indiana for resale in the aerospace industry.
