Here are a couple of the projects that we worked on at Nuclead this week.
Nuclead fabricated and shipped, lead lined sheetrock, lead screw shields and seam filler lead tape, for an orthopedic service company for x-ray and imaging shielding in McMurray, PA. Lead lined sheetrock and lead lined plywood are materials typically used in the construction of radiation shielded rooms. Lead sheet rock is also known as lead drywall or lead gypsum. Drywall panels are pressure laminated to continuous lead sheets using permanent adhesive. The resulting panels are secured to the studs using drywall screws with lead screw shields (lead disks) attached and lead seam filler tape across the seams to prevent radiation leakage.

You provide drawings or prints, and we will quote your entire project start to finish, including any lead construction materials and lead building supplies. We can service hospitals, doctor’s offices and dental offices – anywhere x-ray, gamma ray or radiation containment is required.
We pick from in stock inventory reclaimed lead shot, shipped to Israel for ship ballast. Lead Shot consists of small balls of lead of varying sizes, depending on the application. Small sizes of Lead shot are often used as ballast; small shot can be poured more like a liquid and does not have to be completely round. Lead shot is excellent for trim ballast applications, keel centerboard ballast fills and lifting keel applications.
The shipments we made this week have again illustrated the advantage, for our customers, of the Nuclead in house inventory of lead products, the largest in the North Eastern United states.
