Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Nuclead also has metals analysis capabilities such as nondestructive XRF (X-ray fluorescence) testing.

Fabricated Lead Products
- Lead line and sell Lead Sheetrock, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/16″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Sold to a University in the tri–state area of New York, for a research department’s new construction.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Soundproofing Sheet: 0.020″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″. Sold to a defense soundproofing firm in New York for government sound proofing ongoing projects.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Soundproofing Sheet: 1/16″ x 8.00″ x 291.00″; Sold to a general contractor soundproofing an office building near a municipal airport in Arizona.
- Extrude lead wire per customer blue prints. This order consisted of 4,000# of pure lead wire for a medical OEM that uses the lead for its heavy flexible properties.
- Fabricate and ship Nuclead Brand, “Puritan” Babbitt: ASTM B-23 #2 (Genuine) :(89% tin / 7.5% antimony / 0.35% lead / 3.5% copper); Sold to an equipment repair firm in Texas for current work orders.
- Fabricate and ship per customer specifications- Bi/Pb Alloy, 1# – 2# ingots: 55.5%Bi / 44.5%Pb. sold to a defense contractor in California for unknown reasons.
- Extrude and ship Lead pipe: 1.00″ id x 1/4″ wall x 96.00″ lg. Sold to an equipment manufacture for radiation shielding purposes.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x .812″ joint depth x (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Ship to a Masonry company in New England for a County Courthouse restoration project.
- Extrude and ship Lead Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap. Sold to a Stone works company in the North East for a new stone project. The lead will be used as stone flashing.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Shielding package: Package consists of: Lead sheeting: 1/16″ x 48.00″ x 132.00″; Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. (May be substituted with 5/64″ Le x 9mm thick at no extra charge as inventory allows) 24.00″ x 24.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv and Lead window frames: HM Steel welded borrowed lite frame. Customer responsible for all prep, Hardware and assembly. Glass Size 24.00″ x 24.00″; x 4.875″ throat 1/16″ Lead lined. (Rough Opening to be determined by customer with glass size quoted). Sold to a general contractor in Texas; for construction of a new medical facility.
- Fabricate Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x .812″ joint depth x (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a general contractor in Ohio for a Cathedrals’ restoration project.

- From in stock inventory Nuclead ships a large amount of Re-claimed Lead shot/balls: For Ballast, Misc. weight/Ballast: Misc. sizes & grades. Sold to a restoration company in California; using the materials as counterweight for their cranes.
- Saw Lead Plate to special sizes: Lead sheet: 1/4″ thick. Sold to a Dry dock for ship ballast in New England.
- Pick and ship Re-claimed Lead shot/balls: For Re-loading, Ballast, Re-melting, or Misc. weight/Ballast: Misc. sizes & grades. Sold to General Contractor in California that is using the materials to fill cavities of heavy equipment & Cranes for lead counterweight.
- Pick and ship 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets x 5.375″ long; sold to a personal home owner in New England for an antique home restoration project.
- Pick and ship Material description: Lead sheet: 3 lb: x 24.00″ x 96.00″; Sold to a gasket OEM in Texas for its own fabrication services of lead gaskets per their customer specifications.
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 23.75″ x 31.75″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv: Sold to a Construction company in the Carolinas for a new medical facility project in the radiation therapy department.
- Pick and ship from inventory: Pure lead Pig ingots, Approx. 40#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a private party who owns many water vehicles on an ocean side estate for lead ballast.
