Major University places an order for specialized lead shielding:
Cambridge, Mass., 09/16/11 – Nuclead Co. Inc., a leader in shielding technology, lead material, fabrication and services, announced today the receipt of an order by the University of California, Davis. The lead products are fabricated per cad file and blue prints provided by the university; and the molds are specially designed in a 3 dimensional manner. They will be used in a chemistry environment, so tolerances are extremely critical.
All of the Nuclead Co. Inc. items for the project will be delivered in one release by the end of the calendar year.
“These components are extremely sophisticated and have close tolerances. With our sophisticated Cad-Cam, CNC centers, QC equipment and Proprietary production control system; along with our experienced craftsmen; The University of California has elected to continue using us to fabricate many projects over the years,” said Dennis M.
