Here are some of the projects we worked on this week at Nuclead, including lead shielding laminate, lead foil for radiation protection and lead wire for the pediatric medical industry.

- Gamma Inspection – Nuclead can provide gamma scan inspections and gamma tests to your specifications.
Several of these custom lead services were used on our first item this week. We removed old lead shielding and adhesive a customer supplied nuclear cask. We the machined new lead shielding and laminated it into the nuclear cask; this was for a customer in Cocoa, FL
Nuclead also fabricated and shipped to critical tolerances, pure lead shielding foil for a packing fabrication company in Bensalem, PA. Nuclead can provide any thickness of lead foil to the tenth of a thousand, widths 1/8? wide and up to lengths up to 200? long.
We also fabricated and shipped pure lead wire that was cut to specified lengths. This is to be used for pediatric medical devises, for a medical fabricator in Edinboro, PA
Nuclead also fabricated and shipped custom Babbitt metal, for a drilling and mining company in Tulsa, OK. Nuclead can make any custom babbitt. Supply us with your specifications and we’ll fabricate and certify to your special needs.
