Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center requires custom Lead Shielding
Cambridge, Mass., December 17, 2010 – Nuclead Mfg Co Inc, a leader in shielding technology, material, fabrication and services, announced today the receipt of an order for the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs of custom lead shielding. The shielding will be machined, assembled, finished, and QC’ed per Nuclead’s ISO quality system; to specified blue prints that they provided.
"The US Department of Veterans Affairs is having Nuclead produce custom shapes and sizes of lead shielding," said Dennis M Raymondo, Nuclead Mfg Co Inc’s Chief Operations Manager. "The shielding will be produced, assembled and finished; also inspected with our Computer Coordinate Measuring Center, per supplied specifications. Our custom CNC machining & 3 dimensional Cad-Cam capabilities allows us to fabricate the shielding to the required high tolerances, and quality that is unmatched in the industry”, he said.
