Major University Places sophisticated order for Gamma ray shielding:
Cambridge, Mass., 10/19/12 – Nuclead Co. Inc., a leader in shielding technology, lead material, fabrication and services, announced today the receipt of a sophisticated order by the University of Illinois; of CNC machined Gamma ray products for the Nuclear Plasma & Radiological Laboratory.
All of the Nuclead Co. Inc. items for the project will be delivered thru the end of the calendar year.
“These components have extremely close tolerances, and will be generated from solid models generated 3-dimensionally, and be fabricated with multi-axis machining centers. With our most modern Cad-Cam available, CNC centers, QC equipment and Proprietary production control systems; along with our experienced craftsmen, UofIL has elected to use us to fabricate this project,” said Dennis M.
