Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Elevator Weights, Lead Pipe, Lead Flashing, Lead Radiation Shielding.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.

Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.

Fabricated Lead Products

  • Fabricate lead with per customer blueprints and finish with Paint OV; IPC PO #6989; Paint with Black Durachem 235, 6-8 mils thick. Sold to a US DOE buyer to be used as lead radiation shielding.
  • Fabricate and ship Lead pipe: 6.00″ id x 5/32″ wall x 61.00″ lg., Package and ship to a public utility using the lead item as lead shielding from high tension wires.
  • Fabricate complete Custom Lead Elevator Weights per Sketch provided RFQ 05/14/2018: Unless otherwise specified…Price includes all applicable labor, materials, tolerances and notes. Sold to an Elevator maintenance firm in New York for installation in the Bronx.
  • Fabricate Special Lead Flashing: 1/16″ x 4.75″ x 291″, with PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape). Sold to a Builders & Hardware reseller in the North-East.
  • Fabricate several tons of Lead Sheet: 1.00″ x 14.00″ x 24.00″; Sold to a metal distributor for re-sale in Louisiana
  • Fabricate one ton of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″; Sold to a medical equipment OEM in California for radiation shielding purposes.
  • Fabricate and ship two tons of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″; Sold to a marina in Massachusetts for ship ballast.
  • Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand 1.50″ Lead Outlets @ 50 PCs. /carton; Sold to a distributor in The North East for nationwide distribution.

From Inventory

  • Lead Extrusion and ship: Lead Round Bar Stock 2.00″ dia. x 96.00″ long. Sold to a Farming corporation in the mid-west that uses the lead round bar stock as lead counterweight.
  • Saw and ship Lead disc: 1/8″ x 23.00″ dia. (+1/8″ /- .000″)’ keep flat as possible. Sold to a local machine shop for its own value-added purposes.
  • Saw and ship Lead sheet: 1/4″ x 24.00″ x 39.00″; Sold to US Army / Crane Ammunition Activity in Indiana and used for radiation shielding per their request for quotation (“RFQ”). The lead sheet is solid sheeting per QQ-l-201-f Grade C.
  • Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a restoration corporation in the north east for their own inventory.
  • Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 12.00″ x 16.00″ x 10.5-11.5mm x 3/32″Le x 150kv. Sold to a dentist office in New York for a new x-ray booth.
  • Pick Free samples of all stock sizes for Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps Samples (X) wide x (D”) joint depth: 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Delivered to a Masonry Union for evaluation and possible orders.
  • Send free samples of Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Shipped to a restoration contractor in New Jersey.
  • Saw & Ship Lead sheet: 1/4″ x 27.00″ x 33.00″; sold to a firm in New England that fabricates Non-destructive testing x-ray equipment (OEM). This customer is using the lead x-ray sheeting for radiation shielding.
  • Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape): (4pcs); Sold to an Architectural firm in New York for lead counterweight lift balance.
  • Pick and ship Construction materials: Lead screw shield(s), 1/16″; Sold to a national disaster restoration firm that is repair a damaged hospital in Oklahoma City and needs the lead shielding to complete the radiology department.
  • Pick and ship an Amazon Seller Central order from Nuclead Store front: Lead threaded, fit all plugs: 4.50″. Shipped to an individual in North Carolina for unknown use.
  • Pick and ship 1,000# of Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: 25lb Bags; Sold to a roofing company in the Eastern United State. This National Roofing contractor uses the heavy soft materials to compress into joints and uses it for a lead caulking material.
  • Sold and ship on Nuclead’s on-line store page: W-131: Wire 1%Sn / 99%Pb 1/16″ x 1# – 50# coils; Solder: 95/5 Pb /Sb solder: 1/8″ dia., 1# – 50# coils & Solder: 95/5 Pb /Sb solder 3/16″ dia., 1# – 50# coils. Sold to a corporation in New England for fabrication use in the peripheral equipment industry.
