Northrop Grumman places one large release for an order of helicopter cockpit, lead counterweights:
West Bridgewater, MA, 03/20/2019 – Nuclead Co. Inc., a leader in shielding technology, lead material, fabrication and services, announced today the receipt of a large order by a United States of America defense contractor.
Nuclead Co. Inc. was awarded a 3-ton lead counterweight order from Northrup Grumman for its Sikorsky helicopter division. These sophisticated lead weights are fabricating to extremely tight tolerances and weight requirements, per Northrup Grumman Blueprints. The items are very small and the weight tolerances are +/- grams. The items are also finish with a protective coating and will be an integral component in the cockpit system. “This defense contractor awarded Nuclead this order for its superior service, QC capabilities and ISO 9001:2015 accreditation,” said Dennis M.
