Commercial lead lined glass is used as x-ray glass for the new X-ray rooms / radiation departments in facilities such as hospitals, medical centers, and veterinary clinics.
These Lead glass panels can be assembled directly to lead wall panels with lead lining & wooden frames built on site or purchased with Nuclead lead lined frames to prevent leakage.
Nuclead also provides lead lined drywall for this procedure if the contractors wish.
Recent Lead Glass Shipments
- Cut and deliver Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Cut to 24.25” x 48.00” x 3.3mm (1/8”) Le x 17mm thick: 200 kV: LX Laminated, 7mm+9mm. This laminated and lead lined glass was delivered to a laboratory in Illinois. X ray lead glass price can vary due to thickness and sizes, so written quotes are required
- Cut lead and deliver Saf-T-Lite Lead Glass; Per ANSI Z97. 1-1984 and 16 CFR 1201 Cat.ll: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Sold several sizes of lead glass x 1.6mm (1/16″) Le x 11mm Thick x 150kV to a glass company in Texas for installation of a research and development laboratory.
- Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 12.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv shipped to a glass company in North Carolina for installation in a medical facilities x-ray department. The lead items are used as x-ray shielding to protect people and equipment from radiation rays.
- CNC machine Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 60.25″ x 68.25″ to QQ-L-201 per customer supplied blueprints. This custom lead order was delivered to a laboratory in the mid-west for radiation shielding during testing. Lead plates to this specification are void free to allow no radiation leakage. Lead sheeting to the specification can also be used as lead lined drywall and lead walls if required. The CNC machining produced high tolerance slots, holes and cavities along with special inserts and threaded inserts for a large lead assemble at the customer facility. Lead glass was installed into the lead sheet. The x ray glass will allow the operator to work and be protected. A small lead lined door was also installed to allow products tested to be placed into the chamber and also removed.
- Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Sold lead glass shielding for radiation protection to cut 12.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Delivered to a medical facility in Minnesota for x ray glass. Lead lined glass is the best choice for this application for weight and cost. Lead glass price is much more economical than other materials like leaded acrylic.
- Cut to specifications Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Nuclead cut the lead products to 36.00″ x 48.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv and shipped the x-ray glass to a general contractor in Wisconsin. - Cut and deliver three drop shipments to a Florida based medical device company. - Cut Lead Glass to 25.00″ x 25.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kvp. Custom certifications required included CofC: 010- DOA3 Government order.
- Cut Lead Glass, provided for customer preparation and assembly. 55.625″ x 47.75″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. Shipped to a glass company in Virginia for a hospital project required x ray glass for radiation protection.

Shipped via LTL carrier to a construction company in South Carolina for a laboratory that specializes in radiation therapy research. Lead lined glass or x ray glass, is a perfect solution to radiation shield in environments were the operator needs to see through the lead glass panels and be protected at the same time.
- Cut Lead Glass Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 23.26″ x 75.19″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Delivered lead lined x ray glass to a general contractor that specializes in medical facility construction in Florida. Radiation shielding glass is used as x-ray glass to protect people and equipment during operations. Lead glass for x ray rooms allows this protection without high cost as other materials such as lead lined acrylic.
