Nuclead manufactures custom lead elevator weights in weights up to 100,000 lbs.
Nuclead can manufacture custom lead counterweights for elevator weights and for other counterweight applications – per customer supplied drawings. Elevator weights have been supplied for all types of buildings from school buildings to low-rise university facilities, to high-speed elevators in skyscrapers, both new buildings and old.
As a standard pour Nuclead can cast lead counterweights in any size up to 40,000 lbs. Custom lead pours are available up to 100,000 lbs. Lead elevator weights have been supplied to both one-off applications and repeat orders for custom designs.
Some of our customers provide elevator service and require custom elevator weights to enable elevator certifications. These are typically repeat customers and Nuclead is able to accommodate their needs in a timely fashion
Nuclead’s process for making custom elevator weights starts with custom lead molds which are typically machined to our customer’s specifications as specified by blueprint or CAD/CAM file. Liquid lead or lead alloy is poured into these molds, the cast lead weights are subsequently machined to final specifications and finished either by plating, powder coating or painting.
Lead Elevator Weights and Lead Counterweight shipments
- Fabricate and ship lead elevator counterweights per customer blueprints. Sold to an elevator service company in Maryland. The company followed up with a duplicate order the next week.
- CNC Machine 35 special elevator counterweights for an elevator service company in New York. These weights are customer design per blueprints provided and will be install into a multi-story building in the Bronx.
- Fabricate complete Custom Lead Elevator Weights per Sketch provided RFQ. Price included all applicable labor, materials, tolerances and notes. Sold to an Elevator maintenance firm.
- Pick and ship tons of Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape): Sold to an architectural OEM that needs lead counter balance for their equipment.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Rounds: 3.00″ dia., x 36.25″ long to be used as 105# lead counterweight applications. These round lead weights are to be used for a commercial life boat manufacturer for lead ballast.
- Fabricate and ship lead crank shaft counter weights per customer blueprints. Nuclead was required to CNC mill the items to hold tight machined tolerances and ship the lead counterweights to industrial pump OEM in the Midwest.
- Fabricate and ship large, one-ton counterweights per customer supplied blue prints. These large items will be shipped to an oil and gas, multi-national company in the U.A.E.; and used as counter weights for mining and exploration equipment.
