The Lead Products shipped include Lead Sheet, Lead Bricks and Lead Glass. They will be used in a variety of radiation shielding applications.
West Bridgewater, MA, 12/27/2019 – Nuclead announces the shipment of several orders for Lead products to be used in X-ray Shielding applications.
Nuclead’s X-ray Shielding Experience
Nuclead has extensive experience providing of sheet lead for custom and standard x-ray shielding applications such as X-ray room shielding, medical imaging rooms and MRI shielding. Nuclead carries a large inventory of x-ray grade lead sheets, of varying thicknesses, in its warehouse, available to ship immediately. Also available is a large selection of lead lined sheetrock and lead plywood that can be used to build x-ray rooms.
Nuclead manufactures custom radiation shielding assemblies for x-ray machines and MRI machines. In MRI machines the lead sheet is a custom shaped and specially fabricated radiation shield that fits inside the machine, significantly reducing the radiation seen in the room.
Nuclead also has large inventory of lead bricks and interlocking lead bricks for the construction of temporary or permanent radiation shields, particularly for higher radiation applications. Lead bricks can be used to create storage facilities, lead walls or to quickly add additional radiation protection to an existing room. Lead bricks are manufactured to high tolerances with smooth surfaces to allow easy removal of radioactive dust.
X-ray and Radiation Shielding Shipments
- Fabricate CNC individual blueprint components lead x-ray shielding, for a Neutron Therapeutics firm in the North East. The CNC machined lead items have extremely fussy tolerances and are prototype purposes currently. All lead products are assembled to create a lead assembly.
- Fabricate and ship lead x-ray shielding package. Shipped to a medical laboratory in Florida. lead x-ray shielding package continued: 1) Lead sheet: 2mm x 48.00″ x 96.00″; and 2) Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 48.00” x 24.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. This customer is using the lead shielding to fabricate its own x-ray shielding assembly using Nuclead lead items.
- Fabricate a lead radiation shielding packed for flight use and shipped to NASA in Greenbelt, MD. Nuclead lead products were awarded and purchased via an authorized NASA supply chain vendor.
- Lead Castings, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″ lead brick, chevron style: Deliver to a detection company in New England to be used as lead X-ray shielding of this third-party testing company.
- Laminate lead foil 0.020″ thick with black vinyl and laminate lead to other side using 3M PSA release paper at 3.50″ wide x 20′ long. Sell custom lead item to a medical x-ray OEM in New England. The Nuclead lead item will be used for lead X-ray shielding.
- Laminate lead foil 0.010″ thick with 3M PSA release paper at 1/2″ wide x 80′ long. Sold this custom lead item to a security and government sub-contractor for lead X-ray shielding during the assembly process of flight components.
- Fabricate CNC individual blueprint components lead x-ray shielding, for American Science and Engineering ZBV’s. The ZVB is an x-ray detection system used at security check points, loading docks or boarding crossing and more; both at home and abroad.
- Saw Lead sheet: 2mm x 485 sq./ft and deliver to an Engineering company in California. This company is using an adessive to laminate the lead sheeting that will be for lead x-ray shielding of product they are manufacturing.
- Fabricate and ship lead x-ray shielding package. - Fabricate & ship 0.020″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other x 20′ long. Sold to a medical equipment OEM that uses the lead for x-ray shielding.
- Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 12.00″ x 15.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. Sold to Health system in Texas for x-ray shielding.
