Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Recent Shipments
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 2.00″ wide x 15/16” joint depth x 25# (Ref: Approx.; Two 9′ long lengths). Min buys 25#. “Type A” = Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. Shipped to a commercial window and wall restoring company in Louisiana. Nuclead provides leads extrusions and pure lead wire. As a lead wire manufacturer, it also provides all extruded lead products.
- Pour lead, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking Lead Bricks 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″, chevron style. Shipped the lead blocks to the General Atomics department for a government Energy department. This lead brick shielding will be used be used as lead shielding of high voltage cables.
- Deliver 6% Antimony Lead Round: 8.50″ dia., x 5.00″ long into 4.50″ long slugs, to a machine shop in California for their own value-added services. The antimonial lead sheet is used with AMS 7721 specifications. The lead and antimony alloy and properties are certified to Nuclead ISO standards and provided to the customer.
- Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3″ x 4″ x 20″, loaf shape). Sold to local owner for boat ballast. This bulk lead order is used as lead weights in a marine application. Other lead materials that could be used are lead brick and pig lead.
- Extrude Lead pipe/ lead sleeve, Grade C, Common Pure Lead: 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ lg. Sold to distributor in California for resale. The lead for sale will be used as lead weight. All of Nuclead’s pure lead materials and products meet ASTM-B-29 specifications.
- Cut Lead sheet: 3/32″ x 10.00″ x 48.00″. Sold to small equipment manufacture for use of spark free, dead blow hammers for oil rigs. Non ferrous metals are used for safety and lead is used for its heavy and dense properties. All of Nuclead bulk lead for sale including lead ballast can be certified to any specification.
- Extrude Lead wire: 1/8″ dia. x 25lb spools. Sold to a stored energy systems and technology company for industrial applications. The lead wire is for reserve power and motive power batteries, battery chargers, power equipment, battery accessories and outdoor equipment enclosure systems. As a secondary lead smelter in the US, Nuclead can provide extruded lead products quickly to its customers.
- Provided 6% Antimony lead strips approximately 1/4″ x 3/8″ x 25.00″. The 6% antimony lead bar stock is used as aircraft ballast of highly engineered component products for the commercial and military aerospace industries. Nuclead can provide these lead products for sale in lead sheeting and lead foil thicknesses, for different applications. We can also provide these alloys in lead plate sizes also.
- Provide cut lead sheet and lead plate package consisting of over 6,000# of lead sheeting. Nuclead delivered these lead supplies or various lead sheet sizes and lead sheet thicknesses to a local customer that does custom metal fabrication and precision sheet metal services. The lead materials are being incorporated into a large lead assembly specified by their customer. The radiation shielding will be blocking gamma rays to protect people and equipment. The lead products ae lead lined to the metal components with adhesive.
- CNC Lead turning per customer written specifications and blueprints using pure lead billets per ASTM-B29. Shipped to an Electro-Optical Sensor System Company as lead shielding for their products. Machining lead and cutting lead is a special process. The detailed safety requirements and craftsmanship needed makes Nuclead your first choice when machine lead.
- Pour pure lead and Fill customer supplied empty assembly with Lead (Pb): 4.30″ x 4.30″ x 36.00″. Delivered to a local machine shop for CNC milling of their customer items for radiation shielding. As a secondary lead smelter, Nuclead and its crew are experts in melting lead. Casting the lead material into special cavities requires special equipment and processes.
- Pick and ship Lead sheet/ Lead flashing: 1/24″ x 10.00″ x 24′ (288.00″). The lead rolls stocked in Nuclead warehouse, can ship in 1 – 2 days. This order was for a general contractor that needed the items quickly and delivered on-site in Montana. The lead flashing is supplied as a roll of Lead, for easy use on roof and around chimneys. Nuclead lead materials can be used as lead chimney flashing and special sizes cut as lead roofing sheet flashing.
