Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Fabricated Lead Products
- Cast Nuclead custom lead alloy into 1# ingots. Alloy composition 3.5% Ag, 1% Cd, 0.5% Sb, Balance Sn. This Silver / Tin alloy was manufactured QC inspected by Nuclead and shipped to a machine shop in Ohio value added purposes. This firm is machining the ingots into sliver /tin alloy discs for an aerospace application per blueprints.
- Fabricate cartons for 2″ Lead Gutter Outlets (at 30 PCs. /carton): Sold to a national hardware distributor for resale nationwide.
- Fabricate Lead foil: 0.010″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121, with all the same lot number. The lead foil will have 3M pressure sensitive adhesive installed on one side. The PSA is an electrically conductive tape and the lead will be used as an electronic conductive item.
- Fabricate Lead foil: 0.005” x 1.00″ x 11′ rolls on fiber cores. Sold to a packing firm in Canada for x-ray protection for packing materials sold to their customers.
- Fabricate and ship lead x-ray shielding package. Shipped to a medical laboratory in Florida. lead x-ray shielding package continued: 1) Lead sheet: 2mm x 48.00″ x 96.00″; and 2) Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 48.00” x 24.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. This customer is using the lead shielding to fabricate its own x-ray shielding assembly using Nuclead lead items.
- Fabricate a lead radiation shielding packed for flight use and shipped to NASA in Greenbelt, MD. Nuclead lead products were awarded and purchased via an authorized NASA supply chain vendor.
From Inventory
- Saw Lead sheet: 3/32″ x 3.00″ x 291.00″ and deliver to a waterproofing contractor in Pennsylvania. This GC uses the lead sheeting for a proprietary lead waterproofing process.
- Pick and deliver 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlet Goosenecks to a homeowner in New England doing their own lead restoration project.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to a general contractor in Canada for masonry restoration or brick pointing and reinstallation of lead flashing into the joint.
- Pick and ship Magnum Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (.100″ dia.) 2,000#. Sold to a plating house in New England, that uses the lead shot as sacrificial lead anodes. The tolerances and lead alloys must be perfect for this DOD application.
- Pick from inventory, Re-claimed Lead shot/balls: For Ballast or Misc. weight: Misc. sizes and grades. Dispatch to CAT for their heavy equipment manufacturing and assembly processes.
