Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate per national laboratory blueprints and written specifications. Aluminum / Cadmium tunnel. CNCM 3D machine to prints for a Neutron destruction counter, the tunnel materials get extremely hot after neutrons pass through at a high rate of speed and crash into Mercury walls and split into pieces. Shipped per plan and specification.
- Fabricate per specifications and ship to Honeywell Aerospace, lead radiation shielding plate.
- Lead Extrusion 0.005” x 1.00” x 60’ and deliver to a Physics Laboratory in Maryland. This National company will be using the lead foil for Radiation shielding on a regular basis for experimental purposes.
- Fabricate Lead door(s): Wood, Flush/slab, no panels, 1/32″ Lead (Laminated thickness: approx. 1.38″-1.75″ + 1/4″ + lead” = Overall thickness 1.75″ x 24.00″ x 84.00″. Customer responsible for all prep, hardware, finishes and assembly. Delivered to a door company in California to be installed in a hospital project they were awarded.
- Lead cast, “Nuclead” Brand, Square edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Delivery to a private yacht owner in Maine for ship ballast.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). “Type A” = Flat cap. Shipped to a restoration firm in New England for masonry flashing.
- Fabricate & ship 0.020″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other x 20′ long. Sold to a medical equipment OEM that uses the lead for x-ray shielding.
- Extrude Lead wire: 5/16″ Dia. x 25 lb. spools. Sold to a machine shop in Virginia for its own value-added services.
- Fabricate and sell multiple sizes of Lead Gutter Outlets by the carton to a national hardware distributor for retail sale.
- Fabricate lead lining 0.020″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other @ 1.50″ wide x 20’ long. Delivered to a medical OEM that uses the custom lead items for x-ray shielding on their equipment.
- Lead cast Lead 5# ingots per ASTM B-29: Loaf shaped. Sold to a machine shop in Minnesota for its own value-added services.
- Fabricate Nuclead Brand, “Puritan” Babbitt: Per ASTM B-23 #13: (6% Tin / 10% Antimony / Balance Pb); Shipped to a steel knife maker in Georgia for attaching the blades to steel handles during its production processes.
- Laminate: Lead Lined Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″:1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Delivered to a GC in New England for installation of a local medical facility.
From Inventory
- Saw and deliver Lead Sheet: 0.082″ thick by multiple sizes and configurations. Sold to Honeywell Aerospace for radiation shielding.
- Pick and ship Magnum Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (.100″ dia.) 2,000#. Delivered to an electroplating house that uses the lead balls as lead anodes for it processes.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: to an exporter in Texas. This company will be shipping these items to an overseas company.
- Deliver Lead sheet: 2mm x 48.00″ x 96.00″ and Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly.; 48.00” x 24.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv to a Medical construction company in Florida for new construction of a medical facility in Miami. The lead x-ray shielding materials will be used in the construction of the radiology department.
- Saw Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 36.00″ x 84.00″ and delivered to a local machine shop for its own value-added services.
- Pick and ship from Nuclead’s large inventory Lead sheet: 1/4″ x 48.00′ x 96.00″. Sold to Honeywell to be used as radiation shielding at one of its power facilities.
- Pick and deliver Lead sheet: 3/32″ x 48.25″ x 291.00″. Sold to a local metal fabrication house. The lead will be bent and formed per its customers specifications for x-ray shielding panels for medical use.
- Saw to written specifications, Lead plate: 3/4″ x 3.00″ x 24.00″. sold to a machine shop in New England for its own value-added services
