Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Lead Cast: 6% Antimony lead round stock, void free. 1.50″ dia. x 16.00″, Raw material quoted for customers’ own value-added services.
- Fabricate and ship Nuclead brand, Cast Lead Brick: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Sold to a Global Bio-Medical Supply company for re-sale to one of their customers.
- CNC mill, lead molds and cast lead elevator weights, 1.00″ x 7.50″ x 45.75″. These lead elevator weights were fabricated per sketch provided by the customer. They are being installed into a new luxury hotel in the northeast for its grand opening. They weigh approximately 130lbs each.
- Fabricate and ship Nuclead brand, Cast Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Sold to a scanning and x-ray firm that make x-ray equipment for the food service industry.
- Fabricate and deliver Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 108.00″: 1/8″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. This general contractor in New York is using the lead shielding items for the new VA Medical Center in Manhattan.
- Fabricate New Lead balls: 2.0 mm diameter (#9) (.080″ dia.). Sold and shipped as lead shot ballast to a Rail Equipment Company for box car ballast in Texas.
- Fabricate “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″. Sold to an x-ray OEM in Georgia that supplies scanning systems to companies for security screening check points. The Nuclead lead brick will be used as radiation shielding.
- Fabricate and ship dozens of 6% Antimony lead sheet stock: 0.098″ (+/- 0.004″) x 7.50″ x 15.00″. This raw material was delivered to a machine shop in California. This customer is fabricating assemblies for metering gas and oil pipe lines. The 6% antimony lead is used for its strength for its application.
- Fabricate and ship ASTM #8 White Babbitt: 5% tin, 15% antimony, balance lead. Sold to a machine shop in New England that is using the babbitt for shaft assemblies.

- Saw and deliver Lead 6% antimony: 5/8″ x 1.75″ x 9.25″, Raw material quoted for customer own value-added services.
- Lead wire extrusion: 5/16″ Dia. x 50 lb. spools. Sold to a metal roofing company in Canada. This contractor uses the soft lead as a lead caulking, applied into the metal joints to present roof leaks.
- Pick and ship Tuyau PB/Copper lead pipe, Dross Free, Uniform wall, 1.50″ Lead Outlets @ 50 PCs. /carton. Sold to a national hardware store distributor for re-sale.
- Provide a free sample of Lead T-cap Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x Approx. 12.00″ Free Sample. “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. The free sample was sent to a masonry firm in Canada for testing and possible future purchase.
- Saw Lead sheet: 1″ x multiple widths x multiple lengths. Sold to a US Army for unknown ammunition activity.
- Saw Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 6.00″ x 240.00″. Delivered to a Philadelphia site to be used as special extra thick roof flashing for a commercial general contractor of a high-rise building.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2” joint depth x 25# (Ref: 60′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Delivered to a Contractor in New York for a park restoration project.
- Pick Lead sheet: 1/32″ x 96.00″ x 240.00″. sold and delivered to a renovation form in New York for special, oversized lead flashing.
- Provide Nuclead brand Cast lead bar: 3.00” x 3.00” x 36.00”. Shipped to a machine shop in Connecticut for their own value-added services.
- Pick for Will Call, Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a local marina for ship ballast.
- Pick and ship Lead pipe/sleeve (Grade C) 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ L. Sold to a reseller in California of re-sale to one of their customers.
