Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate lead seals per customer supplied blue prints using Nuclead supplied Lead sheeting: 3/8″ x 60.25″ x 60.25″ per QQ-L-201 f. The seal must shear at the correct tensile strength per blue print for a defense contractor application.
- Fabricate CNC milling large sound dampening lead washers: 0.937″od x 0.562″ id x 0.625” thickness (+/- 0.003”). Used for lead sound proofing of an OEM that produces paper milling machinery.
- Fabricate and ship Nuclead “Puritan” Brand, pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# ingots. Sold to a Plumbing supply house in New England for individual resale.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Foil 0.005” thick x approx. 6.00” x 11.00”: Apply 3m 97057 conductive transfer adhesive to one side. Labeled per PO instructions (per UNS L51121: & All materials must be from the same lot number). Sold to a Defense contractor for radiation shielding for an aerospace application
- Fabricate 0.390” thick lead washers per customer supplied blueprints. Delivered to the US Navy War Center for future processes in US military owned & operated machine shops.
- Fabricate and ship Nuclead “Puritan” Brand, pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# ingots. Sold to a plumbing supply company in New England for Re-sale to local plumbers. The lead caulking is used with oakum to produce a permanent water proof seal in steel drain pipes. Nuclead’s’ “Puritan” Brand, pure Caulking Lead is amongst the markets purest plumbing lead available. This purity makes it easier and quicker to melt, pour and seal the joints. It also makes the joint last longer.
- CNC machine lead shear seals per customer blueprints. These lead seals are used for a defenses contract and must be within specifications, so they shear at the perfect tensile strength for an aerospace application.
- Provide lead counterweights per customer written specifications, for an OEM that manufactures high RPM CAT Scans.
From Inventory
- Saw and ship Lead round 6% antimony: 1.50″ dia. x 60.00″ lg. Sold to a machine shop in California for unknown value-added services.
- Saw and ship: Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 12.00 x 96.00″ to a local machine shop for their own value-added services.
- Saw and deliver to a defense contractor wholesaler: Lead sheet: 1/8″ x 8.50″ x 11.00″ per QQ-L-201f, Grade B, per written specifications for a defense contractor application.
- Pick and deliver Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: to Baker Hughes / GE Oil field operations. The lead wool is to be used for lead caulking to seal oil pipes.
- Pick and ship Lead sheet: 1/64″ x 48.25″ x 242.00″ for a sculptor requiring the heavy soft materials for base work.
- Pick and deliver Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3″ x 4″ x 20″, loaf shape). Sold to a Ship repair firm in the north east for lead ship ballast.
- Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape); Sold to a marina on the east Coast for lead ship ballast.
- Pick and ship Lead sheet: 0.021″ x 48.00″ x 242.00″ and delivered to an imaging company in new England for radiation shielding of their equipment they manufacturer.
- Pick and ship dozens of Lead 6% antimony: 1/8″ x 12.00″ x 12.00″. this is raw material for our customers own value-added services.
- Deliver AMS-7721 Antimony Lead plate: 0.125″ x 12.00″ x 38.00″. Sold to an aviation supplier in New Mexico for re-sale to a government contractor.
