Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 12.00″ x 15.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. Sold to Health system in Texas for x-ray shielding.
- Fabricate and ship 6 rolls of Lead foil: 0.002″ x 6.00″ x 1,020″ *Package with end protection required*. Delivered to a Machine shop in New Jersey for its on value added services. The Lead foil will be used as radiation shielding.
- Fabricate per customers’ written specifications, 0.010″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other @ 4.00″ wide x 30′ long. Sold to a medical devise OEM that uses the lead sheeting as lead x-ray protection for its operators. The black vinyl is strictly for commercial cosmetic purposes.
- Lead extrusions provided 2 tons of 5/16” diameter lead wire on 50# spools. Then Nuclead fabricates the components per customer written specifications. The lead materials are used for its heavy soft property’s and used as flexible weight with a medical OEM that requires weight and flexibility at the same time for its items it manufactures.
- Fabricate “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″. Delivered to an Oceanographic Institution that uses Nuclead’s lead brick for weight for under water testing equipment. The weight needs to be exact, so this customer has chosen Nuclead’s to be most reliable for the lead weights as we can hold the tight weighted tolerances.
- Fabricate and ship high quantities of Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 24.00″ x 48.00″. This lead sheeting is used as radiation shielding in medical facilities that are under repair. Nuclead ships these lead items to a general contractor in Texas that repairs hospitals and medical facilities across the nation, from fire, floods and any other disasters.
- Cut Lead foil: 0.002″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Packed as required to prevent damage. Sold and shipped to Columbia University Medical Center for their radiology research department.
- Fabricate by lead extrusion: 3% Antimony / 97% Lead wire: Round lead anodes. Sold to a metal finishing company in New England for its plating tanks.
- Fabricate and ship special alloy cast plate: Lead plate: 0.500″ x 6.00″ x 12.00”; 44.5% Lead; 55.5% Bismuth. Sold to a wholesaler in California for resale to an unknow customer.
- Fabricate and ship W-131: Wire 1%Sn / 99%Pb 1/8″ x 1# – 50# coils. Sold through Nuclead own on-line store and payment made using PayPal. Shipped an individual in Missouri.
- Cut for will Call, Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly.13.63″ x 31.63″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. This local glass customer picked up tier special cut x-ray glass for a local medical facility that is being constructed with a radiology department.
- Fabricate per customer blueprints and written specifications, lead washer seals. This repeat customer purchases these items often and using the lead washers for lead vapor seals during their assembly process of the equipment they fabricate.
From Inventory
- Pick and ship 2 tons of Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a marina in the Carolinas for ship ballast.
- Saw to customer specifications and deliver, Non-returnable/ Non-cancel able item: AMS-7721 Antimony Lead plate: 1.38″ x 12.50″ x 14.00″; Sold to a government distribution company in California for re-sale to the US government.
- Saw and ship Lead sheeting: 1/8″ x 36.00″ x 60.00″ to a machine shop in Pennsylvania for unknown use.
- Sold Solder: 40Sn/60Pb wire solder 1/8″ diameter, 1# – 50# coils through Amazon Seller Central via Nuclead’s store front. Sold to an individual in California.
- Slit and ship special wide lead roof flashing Lead sheet: 1/24″ x 48.00″ x 291.00″; Sold for commercial use in Rhode Island.
- Pick and ship 2″ Nuclead Lead Gutter Outlets @ 30 PCs. /carton. Sold to a national warehouse distributor for resale.
- Saw and forward: Lead 6% antimony: 0.800″ x 2.50″ x 6.25″; Sold to a machine shop in New England for unknown value added intent.
- Bag and deliver to a local research firm for radiation shielding: Lead Radiation Sheet: 1/32″ x 48.00″ x 291.00″, from in-stock inventory.
- Chop and ship Lead Flashing: 1/32″ x (W”) 10.00″ x (L”) 24.00″: Sold to a home owner for private use in Ottawa, Canada.
