Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Molds, Lead Balls, Lead Sleeves, Lead Billets.
Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate Lead molds and deliver Cast Lead Brick: 7.00″ x 13.50″ x 18.25″ certified per ASTM B-29. The custom Lead ingots where castings for a local machine shop. They will be using the cast Lead for their own value-added services. These Lead blocks weigh 706 lbs. each and were ship via LTL carry.
- Fabricate Lead mold to yield Lead square bar: 3/16″ x 3/16″ x 600.00″ coils. Delivered the Lead produced to production equipment OEM. The Lead products will be used as Lead weights for their equipment manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ship Magnum Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (.100″ dia.), to a large electroplating firm this customer uses the Lead products as Lead anodes. The certified Lead materials are provided for a special aerospace process. The special Lead product is bought and used on a Quartey basis annually.
- Fabricate Lead molds and provide Lead castings to yield Special non-stock items: 6% antimony Lead block: 2.00” x 18.00” x 18.00”. the special antimony Lead blocks weigh 266 lbs. each. These special Lead castings were shipped to a machine shop in New England for custom Lead processes.
- Fabricate Lead Sleeve: 6.50″ ID x 1/4″ Wall x 38.00″ Long. Delivered via Nuclead trucking to a local municipality with power outages. The Lead shielding was required to protect equipment and personnel of high voltage lines.
- Casted 6% Antimony 94% Lead brick. CNC machine several Lead items to customer written specifications and blueprints. The Lead items were sold to a machine shop in Texas. This firm is performing their own value-added services for a government contractor. The cast Lead was void free for the CNC machining applications.
- Pour one ton of Pure Lead billet 2.625″ x Ref: 13.00″ long. The Lead castings were used to produce extruded Lead products ½” dia. x 50 lb. spools. The ½” diameter bar stock is used as Lead weights for a safety equipment OEM in Pennsylvania.
- Fabricate and deliver 1.75″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 40 PCs. /Carton and 2″ Lead Outlets @ 30 PCs. /Carton. Sold Lead products to a national hardware distributor for resale. The Lead construction products are used with historical buildings as Lead restoration materials.
- Extrude Lead wire: 1/2″ Dia. x 50 lb. spools. Sold Lead products to an oil and gas rig OEM for manufacturing and assembly purposes.
- Sell Extruded Lead pipe:1.00″ id x 1/4″ wall x 96.00″ lg. to a technology firm in New England. The Lead for sale is as radiation protection during experiments that produce radiation. The Lead shielding will protect equipment and personnel during operations.
From Inventory
- Ship extruded Lead Pipe: 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ lg. and seamless Lead Sleeves 2.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ lg. these custom lead tubing products were delivered to a government sub-contractors third party buyer in California. The lead tubing items will be used as radiation shielding in a research and industry environment.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: Approx.; Two 8′ lengths per 25# extruded). “Type B” = Inside 90-degree corner cap. Deliver via Nuclead Trucking to an engineering firm in Long Island City, NY for a historical restoration project.
- Dispatch to a contractor’s warehouse in New England, Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# spools. The Lead construction and Lead restoration product are going to be used masonry repair on historical buildings.
- Cut Lead Rolls: 3/32″ x 10.00″ x 48.00″ and deliver to a hand tool manufacturer in New England. The special Lead items were cut to customer specifications. They will be used as Lead weights in special dead blow hammers for the oil rigg industry. Lead Rolls must be produced from the same lot number per customer written order. The cut Lead rolls were produced from larger Lead sheets in Nuclead’s inventory.
- Pick and ship Pure Lead Pig ingots, approx. 30#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Sold Lead to distinguished New York Times columnist. The Lead product was used as ballast of his underwater photography equipment used in Canadian waters for research.
- Sold Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x 25#. Approx., Three (3) 7′ long lengths; “Type A” = Flat cap. Delivered the Lead sold by Nuclead which was the Lead manufacturer, to a masonry company in New England for Lead restoration products.
- Cut Lead sheet: 1/8″ x 48.25″ x 291.00″ into Lead coils rolls. Delivered the Lead products for sale via Nuclead Trucking. All Lead items ae used as radiation shielding for a research and development laboratory in Cambridge Mass.
