X-ray shielding, Lead Counterweights, Antimony Lead, Lead BlocksEvery month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as X-ray shielding, Lead Counterweights, Antimony Lead, Lead Blocks.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Fabricated Lead Products

  • CNC machine per customer specifications, x-ray shielding. Delivered lead products to a mobile screening OEM. The customer will use the lead items for final assembly of advanced X-ray inspection and radiation detection systems for ports, borders, military, high-threat facilities, and critical infrastructure all over the world.
  • Fabricate Lead foil: 0.0175″ x 13″ x 480.00″ with Single lot requirement. Apply 3M PSA to one side and ship in airtight containers to an applied physics lab. The lead radiation shielding will be used for research and industry.
  • Fabricate and deliver several cartoons of 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ (50 PCs. /carton). The lead construction items were sold to a national hardware store chain, to be resold to individual customers and contractors for home restoration and repair.
  • CNC machine special lead flashing using Lead sheet: 1/8″ x 19.00″ x 36.00″. Nuclead was provided formal blueprints and CNC machined the lead products with special cutouts and holes for a commercial building application.
  • Fabricate Special Lead foil: 0.008″ and 0.005” (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. All the lead items had to be produced from the same lot number for a defense sub-contractor. The thin lead sheeting is used as radiation shielding for flight purposes.
  • Fabricate Pure Lead Material 60lbs each; Block Size: 3.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″lg; Profile: 54 Pref Code 9290 MCC:316-Source code 66: Per QQ-L-171 Grade B; Encapsulate with high build epoxy; Devran #235; Coating to be black color, 8.0 mils thick & cured. Shipped the lead blocks in Weatherproof packaging to a local defense sub-contractor for special counter-balance purposes.
  • Fabricate as a lot: lead sheeting 1mm and 0.5mm thick x 50mm x 50mm, 99.95% Pure Pb stock, Temper as rolled. CnC mill small rectangle and triangle shapes to +-/0.0005” tolerances per customer specifications. Nuclead cleaned and vacuum packaged lead materials to a national laboratory for testing and evaluation.
  • Fabricate special lead products of lead pipe/sleeves: 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ lg. Sold lead to a distributor in California for re-sale.
  • CnC Mill to customer blueprints, lead x-ray shielding. The lead items are used for backscatter screening and detection systems. These mobile x-ray units can reveal explosives, drugs, alcohol, and other contraband by scanning cars, trucks, vans, and cargo. The lead shielding protects equipment and personnel. The equipment is part of homeland security at our nation’s borders.
  • CnC Mill 99.999% pure lead sheeting for a national laboratory. The machined lead products were fabricated to tolerances under + / – 0.001” and certified the same. These lead items sold of multi blueprints were shipped over night per the customer’s request. The laboratory uses the Nuclead lead products on a regular basis for radiation shielding during their research and experiments.
  • Laminate Lead foil: 8.00″ x 120.00″ x 0.041″ thick, With 3M 97057 PSA. The lead for sale was delivered via Nuclead Trucking to a Scientific Imaging Company in New England. The lead items will be used as radiation shielding for research and development purposes.
  • Cut special 3% Antimony Lead sheet: 0.041″ x 36.00″ x 60.00″ into customers written specifications. Sold and delivered the lead component parts to a valve service company in the south-western United Sates as lead seals.

From Inventory

  • Cut Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 8.00″ x 48.00″ and ship to a hammer manufacturer in New England. The lead materials for the dead blow hammers are uses on oil rigs for their heavy dense properties. The lead does not cause property damage, marring nor sparks for safety our combustible materials.
  • Sold Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# spool(s); “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. Delivered to a masonry company in Pennsylvania for stone flashing.
  • Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape. Sold to a Yacht marina in New England for boat and ship ballast.
  • Ship Lead pipe/sleeve: 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ lg. to a wholesaler in California. The wholesale lead extruded products will be for re-sale to unknown customers.
  • Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 30#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a Naval Weapons Station for ordinance and tactical purposes.
  • Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 30#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Delivered to government facilities that are using the Nuclead lead products for ammunition inventory for our nation’s defenses.
  • Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spools of a 300 lb. order equaling 480 liner feet; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. These lead items for sale were shipped to a waterproofing company in Oregon for inventory.
  • Provide free samples of Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x 25# units; Provided both type “Type A” Flat cap and “Type B” = Inside 90-degree corner cap. Both per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. Ship at no charge to a restoration company in Illinois
  • Extruded special lead tubing 0.625″ id x 0.110″ wall x 72.00″ lg. Deliver via Nuclead Trucking to a Non-destructive Testing equipment OEM for their manufacturing process. The lead x-ray shielding sold will protect the operator and equipment from harmful x-rays.
  • Pick and ship cut 3% Antimony Lead sheet: 0.041″ x 36.00″ x 60.00″. Sold and delivered to a special commercial value OEM in Louisiana. The special lead is used for their manufacturing processes.
  • Sold Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths). “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. Delivered to a general contractor in Ontario Canada for weather protection of concrete walls of new construction.
