Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Plate, Lead Washers, Lead Gutter Outlets, Lead Pipe

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Fabricated Lead Products

• Cut Lead Plate 1” thick x 3.50” wide x 49” long. The lead plates were cut to specifications and shipped to a machine shop in Kentucky for their own value-added services. The x ray lead will be machined and re-sold to a company using lead shielding for radiation shielding. Nuclead’s lead shielding sheets and lead sheet are the best choice for their application as they are produced per QQ-L-201. All lead sheets for sale at Nuclead qualify to this specification and can be certified the same. This specification starts with pure lead ingots. An oversized slab is cast, then manufactured to proper sizes per the specification. These lead items can be laminated and used for lead lined drywall, lead sheet, lead weights and be alloyed with antimony to make them stiffer.
• CNC Machine Lead washers 0.084″ Thick x 1.142″ OD x 0.334″ ID. Delivered to the US Bureau of Reclamation. The custom lead washers were manufactured using our best lead gasket materials. The lead washers will be used as lead spacers for testing purposes.
• Fabricate and ship 2″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 30 PCs. /Carton. Nuclead’s lead goosenecks are produced using the best, dross free lead pipe available. The lead construction materials form and fit to standard and custom wooden gutters for a watertight seal.
• Extrude Lead pipe: 2.75″ id x 1/8″ wall x 72.00″ lg. and shipped to a commercial engineering firm in North Carolina. This firm used the Nuclead lead pipe for sale because of the alloy used making the lead pipe rigidity firmer. Lead pipes are typically very soft. By using an alloy, the lead piping can be used in more stable conditions.
• Fabricate and ship Special Lead foil: 0.010″ (+/- .0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. This custom and thin lead sheeting is used as x ray lead. The lead lined sheets are very thin and called lead foil. All the lead lining will be used in a final assembly of security scanners for a US government sub-contractor to protect people and equipment as radiation shielding.
• Pour lead to fabricate, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Bricks: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. sold to a Scientific Research and Development Services Industry company in California. The lead items are used as radiation shielding during their experiment research and documentation. Lead brick and chevron lead bricks are the best choice for radiation shielding. Lead blocks also are small and dense for their size.
• Nuclead fabricates custom Lead door package using solid A-3 natural birch flush, slab, with no panels. The lead lining used was 1/16″ Lead sheeting to a laminated thickness of 1.75” thick. Nuclead shipped the lead lined doors to a hospital in Detroit for an urgent facility upgrade for pending operations. Nuclead produces lead lined doors and lead lined walls for x ray rooms and provides materials to protect against radiation using radiation doors. Nuclead also supplied lead lined door frames. The contractor for this project and buyer, will use Nuclead’s x ray shielding materials to protect people and equipment.
• Deliver 6% Antimony lead sheet. 1/4″ x 12.125″ x 16.125″ to a laboratory in Pennsylvania. Antimony as an element alloyed to lead to make the product stiffer and harder. Antimonial lead sheet and antimonial lead plate is also supplied in grade AMS-7721. Nuclead cuts or machines all lead items per specifications and supplies antimony lead round stock also.
• Fabricate lead pipe into 1.75″ Lead Outlets @ 40 PCs. /Carton and lead tubing into 1.50″ Lead Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton. Deliver lead products to a hardware store distributor for retail sale. Lead pipe for sale at Nuclead is used to form into lead goose necks as it lasts and performs for a very long time without leaking. It is also a historical requirement in some zoning districts.

From Inventory

• Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 36.00″ x 48.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold x ray glass to a medical company in Minnesota for a new radiology department. This Lab Glass will be used as lead glass radiation protection of people and equipment.
• Extruded lead of 3% Antimony Lead Wire: 1/16″ dia. x 25lb lead coils. Sold and delivered lead wire to a government 3^rd party buyer. The lead impression wire was delivered to a government manufacturing facility in South Carolina for future processing.
• Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. (W”) x (L”) x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. (W”) x (L”) = 43.63″ x 67.63″, (W”) x (L”) = 43.63″ x 67.63″ and (W”) x (L”) = 19.63″ x 43.63″. Shipped via LTL carrier to a construction company in South Carolina for a laboratory that specializes in radiation therapy research. Lead lined glass or x ray glass, is a perfect solution to radiation shield in environments were the operator needs to see through the lead glass panels and be protected at the same time.
• Pick and ship from in stock inventory, Lead Wool per QQ-C-40. Delivered to a water treatment and testing company. The lead wool is used as a sacrificial metal for a testing process. Other product names such as Lead wool Ferguson or Lead wool plumbing are good choices for this process as the strains are only 0.015” in dia. and dissolve quickly for this testing process.
• Cut Lead sheet: 0.047″ x 48.00″ x 48.00″ into production sized units. CNC Mill to fabricate lead seals. These thin lead seals are similar to a lead gasket, with a raised boss that colipases to create as seal. Sold to a sealing specialist firm in Pennsylvania for re-sale.to a government sub-contractor. Lead washers and lead gaskets are the best choice when soft properties are required to make a seal. Lead gasket material also comes in alloys to harden the lead gasket if required.
• Pick lead billets to extrude Lead Weather cap, T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 40′ long each. Sold in 25# spools. “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #452001S & #765601S. Delivered to a waterproofing company in Wisconsin.
• Use in stock lead billets to extrude Lead T caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spools. “Type A” = Flat cap; T caps are the best option for stone flashing per required U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Delivered to a restoration company in New York for lead weather cap and waterproofing.
• Cut Lead Sheet: 1/32″ x 12.00″ x 12.00″. Provided to a general contractor in South Carolina as special lead flashing. These special sized lead rolls are used as roofing sheets. The lead sheet roll can be cut and shaped on site. Lead rolls for sale at Nuclead can be delivered in 1 – 2 days.
• Pick and ship Lead balls, to be used as lead shot ballast, provided in miscellaneous sizes & grades. The lead ballast weight was shipped to a plumbing OEM that will use the lead ballast as counterweights in sophisticated and electronic bathtubs. Lead ballast is frequently used as lead counterbalances for all sorts of equipment including lead elevator weights, lead ballast for boats and ship ballast.
• Cut lead sheet from inventory to 0.35mm x 8.00″ x 12.00″. The lead sheets for sale where package in flat conditions and shipped via UPS ground to a manufacturer in Virginia. The sheet lead for sale will be used as lead lining sheets for a project they are working on and required x-ray lead. They used Nuclead for the quality lead sheet metal it sells and certifies to.
• Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 to a worldwide aerospace OEM in New Zealand. They use the lead wool for sale as lead wool packing and balancing for large propeller aircraft. Lead wool uses are abundant. It can be used as lead wool caulking, lead wool blankets or lead wool caulking for plumbers working on old steel pipe.
