Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Sheet, Lead Washers, Lead Pipe, Lead Ballast.
In addition, this this month we are working on lead fabrication and CNC machining orders to ship at later dates. The lead items proceeding in the factory are sensitive with both deliveries and tolerances.
Among these ‘WIP” orders are Lead Shielding for mobile backscatter x-ray equipment. Backscatter images quickly and clearly reveals threats like explosives, drugs, currency, and trade-fraud items such as alcohol and cigarettes—even in high-throughput environments like border crossings and security checkpoints.
Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate Lead Soundproofing sheet: (1.15#) 0.020″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″; Re-roll mill fabricated product onto one solid fiber core. Ship cargo to a government sub-contract on New York for soundproofing many military applications.
- Cast Square edges of Nuclead brand, Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″. Drop-ship to this resellers customer in Connecticut for unknown purposes.
- CNC machine thousands of Lead Washer: 0.937″od x 0.562″ id x .0625 thickness. Drop-shipped the customer’s order to a federal buyer in Texas. The lead washers will be used as compression items to hold balance of sensitive electronic equipment because of leads heavy and soft chemical properties.
- Fabricate Lead foil: 0.005” x 1.00″ x 5# Coils. Manufactured using single lot requirements per customer purchase order along with all their QC requirements. The lead products will be used in the institutions physics lab for experiments using lead shielding.
- Fabricate lead bricks per customer specifications with holes and painted protection applied. Deliver to a local scientific laboratory for radiations shielding.
- Extrude and ship Lead pipe: 3.25″ id x 1/8″ wall x 36.00″ lg. to a Canadian Laboratory that required a tunnel for radiation shielding during unknown experiments.
- Pour “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square Edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Delivered to a local imaging company requiring lead brick for x-ray shielding. The lead brick produced totaled 4,000 lbs. of pure lead product.
- Fabricate and ship over 20 tons of ship ballast using Pure Lead Pig ingots, Approx. 40#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). The ballast is used for local commercial fishing companies to meet the US Coast Guards requirements.

- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Shipped to a restoration company in New Jersey for a masonry reconstruction project to historical budlings.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Delivered via our truck a large order to a national general contractor in New York for their own inventory. The Nuclead lead items will be used for future pending orders.
- Cut Lead sheets 1.00″ x (W) x (L), multiple widths and lengths. Shipped to a highwall mining company for counterbalance of mining equipment.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Transport order to a full-service masonry restoration and preservation company in Pennsylvania. The lead products will be used to waterproof of many landmark historical buildings by this expert commercial masonry firm.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Drop-ship to customer worksite in New Jersey for restoration of state park stone walls.
- Pick Virgin Zinc: Grade A “Zn”, Bar: Zinc cast into 1.03″ dia. x 16.00″ long. Sold and dispatched to an automobile sub-contractor that makes electronic components for major automobile manufacturers world-wide. The order also consisted of many pounds of Virgin Antimony: Pure Grade A “Sb”.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1/2″ wide x 7/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 75′) spool(s). Delivered to a general contractor in North Carolina for a small local waterproofing job.
