Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Recent Shipments
- Provide Lead Extrusions: Lead T- Caps: 2.00″ wide x 15/16” joint depth x 25# (Approximately Two 9′ long lengths per 25# unit). “Type B” = Inside 90-degree corner cap. Sold to a commercial glass company in New Orleans. This order will be used with lead lined x ray glass purchased in a separate order. Typically lead line glass frames are purchased and used as lead shielding, but the lead product is being used as x ray shielding for this application. Lead glass protects people and equipment as radiation shielding. Lead extruded products can be also used as lead lined door and lead lined glass shielding instead of lead lined frames. It is more economical and a faster lead time, as Nuclead carries the lead items for sale in stock. This will adjoin with the lead lined drywall to prevent leakage.
- Sold Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# spools. Delivered to a masonry company in New England. The pure lead product will be used on history building restoration. The lead for sale was produced with pure lead billets and ingots per ASTM-B-29. The pure lead products are required. If there are foreign non-ferrous metal alloys present, it will prevent ease of movement around corners and round objects. The soft properties of lead allow this bulk lead for sale to be the best choice.
- Provide Custom Lead foil: 0.005″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# rolls per UNS L51121: Lead rolls were produced all from the same lot number per customer request. The thin lead sheet is used as lead lining for radiation protection for a government sub-contractor. Nuclead provides lead products for sale and value-added service per customer blueprints or written specifications.
- Lead Extrusions: Weathercap: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# spools and 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x Approx. 12.00″ lengths, custom cut lead. Lead t caps and all lead for sale in stock ships in just a few days. This larger bulk lead order shipped within one week and also included 2.00″ wide x 15/16” joint depth x 25# (Ref: Approx.; Two 9′ long lengths). “Type A” flat cap.
- Pick and ship 10 tons of Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 30#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). This bulk lead for sale was delivered via LTL trucking to Texas and will be used as lead weights. The large lead ingots are perfect for the customs needs of lead weight. In other situations, Nuclead provided lead products like lead bricks, lead bars and lead ingots and used as lead ballast.
- Supply Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 40′ coils; “Type A” = Flat caps sold to a architectural restoration company in Oregon. The process of fabrication of these pure lead products starts with pig lead. These lead products are fabricated into lead ingots or lead bricks and ready for the extrusion process.
- Extrude nonferrous metals to yield, Lead tubing 0.035″ – 0.038″ ID x 0.062″ – 0.075″ OD x 100 ft long Lead Shielding coils. Arrange for overnight delivery via UPS to an IBM division in New York. The lead shielding will be used in Quantum Sciences as lead radiation shielding. The lead for sale is produced by casting bulk lead into lead blocks or lead bars. Upon which, extruding lead into micro lead tubing on to coils, is the last step.
- Pick Pure Lead Pig ingots, approximately 30#-70# lead ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Ship the lead for sale to a machine shop in Massachusetts. The lead products will be produced into lead weights. With this order, the customer requires pure lead, but in the past has ordered antimony lead alloy which makes the pure lead products harder and stiffer. This antimony lead alloy material could be used as elevator counterweights, lead bricks or special lead bars, that can’t dent or bend.
- CNC Machine to customer blueprints, lead seals and lead gaskets. The lead sheet products are CNC milled from square ½” lead sheeting blanks per QQ-L-171 Grade A. Lead washers and lead bushings are produced in the same manner when ordered. Nuclead can manufacture lead to any size lead spacers, gaskets, and washers to specifications or blueprints or per customers written descriptions. Any lead alloy can also be used such as pure lead, antimony, zinc or tin alloys.
- Extrude micro-Lead tubing 0.035″ – 0.038″ ID x 0.062″ – 0.075″ OD x 100 ft long lead coils. The special small dies fabricated by Nuclead can produce many lead items such as lead pipe, lead sleeve and lead tubing. This order was in larger quantities and considered a bulk lead order.
