Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Recent Shipments
- Fabricate lead extrusions of lead t caps: Per GSA Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Codes: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 40′ spools. “Type A” = Flat cap. Shipped via LTL carrier to a restoration company in Pennsylvania. Also shipped Free Samples of “Type B” = Inside 90-degree corner cap to another Pennsylvania company that specializes in masonry restoration. All the lead construction materials Nuclead sells starts for either lead pigs or from pure soft lead ingots and manufactured into finished lead products for sale. Custom and commercial lead items can be further processed as Nuclead has many value-added services we provide. We can complete customers finished assemblies completely.
- Cut Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 8.00″ x 96.00″ and saw custom Lead sheeting 3/32″ x 10.00″ x 96.00″. Shipped to commercial hammer manufacturer that makes spark free dead blow hammers for oil rigs. Lead sheets are the best materials for this important application. Non-sparking hammers must have materials safe to use near combustible materials. The pure lead products provided are soft and heavy for this OEM.
- Pick and ship ballast Pure lead Pig ingots, Approx 30#-70# ingots (Approx size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Delivered via Nuclead Trucking to an Industrial Marina in New England. Lead shot ballast could is an alternative, but the customer wanted larger lead bar to be place more on one side than the other. Lea blocks are better in that aspect, as reclaimed lead shot would fill a cavity more even and uniform. In any case, lead weights are the best choice for its extremely heavy and dense properties.
- Fabricate, cast lead round bar stock: 1.031″ diameter x 16.00″ long. Produce the lead product and deliver to Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Inc. plant in the Northeast. The custom lead round ingots where fabricated per written specifications for this industrial customer. The order was completed as a special lead weight item for propeller balancing of commercial watercraft. Lead materials are being used for the dense properties it consists of. This allows less material in smaller cavities to create perfect counterbalance of the props. Lead ship ballast and lead counterweights are used in the Transportation, Construction and Elevator markets most commonly.
- Cast Pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# lead ingots. Delivered to an industrial mining equipment manufacturer in Illinois.
- Pick and deliver via Nuclead trucking, Pure lead Pig ingots, Approx. 30#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Sold to an equipment repair company that uses the pure lead as lead based babbitt. The pure soft lead ingots will be alloyed with antimony, tin and other nonferrous metals to make custom lead based Babbitts.
- Ship Re-claimed, Range or Used Lead Shot/Balls: For Re-loading, Ballast, Re-melting or Misc., Weight: Mixed sizes, debris & grades. Sold to a commercial racing company in Louisiana for lead racing weights. The lead shot ballast was specifically requested to fit into a very small cavity to put the handicap weight right wear the team wanted it.
- Pick and ship an overseas order of Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Only in 5 lb. bundles Ship in individually boxes. Sold to a worldwide aerospace provider for used as lead counterbalance of military propellers of cargo planes. As this order was for a commercial client, proper certifications were provided with the order.
- Fabricate large custom lead order of Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Cut standard lead lined drywall into special sizes for a general contractor in Georgia. The lead shielding will be used as x ray shielding for a new medical and physical therapy facility in Georgia and was a substance sized order. It was the first of three phases of the project containing custom lead lined gypsum board. The next phase will contain lead lined doors and lead glass for lead lined walls and frames.
- Pick and deliver via Nuclead Trucking Lead pipe: 5.00″ id x 1/8″ wall x 30.00″ lg. and Lead pipe: 5.50″ id x 5/32″ wall x 61.00″ lg. Also included with the order of lead for sale was several hundred pounds of extruded Pure Pb: Lead Wire 1/8″ x 50# coils. Sold to a commercial high voltage electrical contractor. The lead products were in stock and delivered within 2 days. Lead sleeves where specified by the commercial customer for high voltage shielding. Lead tubing is also used for lead shielding of municipality transit systems that use high voltage also.
- Fabricate and deliver 1.25″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton. The lead construction products were delivered to a national retail distributor. Nuclead also provides orders of lead glass, lead lined drywall and lined doors, all for radiation shielding with construction projects, most of which are medical, or energy related. Lead walls and lead bricks, also protect people and equipment during daily services provided. Lead goosenecks are primarily used on restoration projects.

Shipped and sold lead products to a general contractor in New York for a restoration project in South Ozone Park. The extruded lead items are created with pure soft lead ingots for the most flexibility and longevity. The lead for sale is packaged and shipped to any work site in the quickest and most economical method allowable. Bulk lead order reduce cost substantially, which is good for the customer’s budget.
