Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Recent Shipments

  • Fabricate “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″ brick, chevron style. The interlocking lead brick provides extra protect from leakage with the interlocking edges. Typically used were high radiation shielding protection is required. Delivered via Nuclead trucking to a customer that engaging in the design, manufacture, and servicing of capital equipment for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. The nonferrous metals for sale for this application will provide the best lead shielding of a lead brick cave.
  • Extrude high antimony lead wire: 5/64″ dia. x 25lb spools. Sold and shipped to a state university in Texas’s Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab. The lead rods will be used as radiation shielding during testing. The lead shielding is produced per QQ-l-201 to minimize voids with maximum compression for the densest allowable lead materials.
  • Cut Lead Sheet: 1/8″ x 6.00″ x 36.00″ and ship to an Automatic Sprinkler Co. in Tennessee for lead gaskets of backflow preventers. The lead seals are produced using chemical lead sheets. The customer assemblies the lead products for sale into a lead lined box that allows flow when required ad seal when not in use. Lead Containers are typically used as radiation shielding, but for this application it is for the lead construction materials as special lead washers.
  • Cut lead sheet metal, 40,000# into Lead sheets 1/16” x 48.00″ x 84.00″ Lead sheeting 1/8” x 48.00″ x 84.00″. Delivered to a State University Medical Center for x ray shielding. The lead lining will be assembled on site to the sheetrock to form lead lined drywall and lead lined doors. This full truck load of lead shielding was delivered in several weeks. Nuclead keeps a large inventory of lead items for sale for fast deliveries.
  • CNC Mill Lead Discs: 1/8″ Thick x 2.00″ OD. General enamel prime & paint with black enamel. Delivered via LTL carrier to an energy OEM that commercializes fusion power. The lead shielding is used to shear the flow stabilized in the proprietary equipment. The lead spacers are fabricated using pure lead sheet per qq-l-201-f. They are lead lined at the customers facility to their equipment.
  • Alloy Lead round bar 3-4% antimony, per QQ-L-171 E, Grade B:  1.25″ dia. x 25.00″ lg. The lead alloy was produced at our plant using virgin pure antimony and virgin pure lead ingots. Nuclead shipped the job with material and specification certifications per the customer’s order. This lead order was shipped to a machine shop in Ohio for value-added services. Custom lead rod with alloy was specified on their blueprints. As an industrial customer, Nuclead provided all certifications for traceability.
  • Fabricate as a lot: CNC machine from lead foil 0.5mm thick x 50mm x 50mm, 99.99% Pure Pb stock. Fabricate into Lead rectangles: 0.5mm x 1.5mm x 2.5mm. Clean, package & ship to an aerospace sub-contractor. These small pieces of lead sheet are used for micro experimentation in a lab radiation level testing. These tiny lead products are almost unable to see without magnification. Nuclead uses a proprietary method to produce the small lead bar. The lead assembly will be lead lined onto lead glass for testing KV levels.
  • Lead-inner-lined pipe with 1.50″ ID x 5/32″ wall thickness x 12.00″ length. Outside sleeve made from Steel approximately 2.00″ OD x 12.00″ long and lead threaded, fit all plugs: 1.00″ NPT. All provided to a Universities Medical Facility for experimentation and testing in New York. These custom lead sleeves were produced for this special commercial application in a few days. Most industrial customers choose Nuclead because of its fast turn-around times
  • Fabricate custom non-stock lead items of Lead foil: 0.010″ (+/- .0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. This commercial customer requires that the entire order be produced from the same lot number. Nuclead provided the certifications necessary and qualified them with its NDT material analyzer & QC equipment. Pure soft lead ingots were used to produce this bulk lead order.
  • Sold and fabricated as each, Lead foil: 0.005” (+/-.001″) x 1.00″ x Approx. 5 lb. each, on fiber cores. Lead alloy of {>=97%-98% Pure Lead (Pb)}. Nominal length “Each” = 202′ (2,424″); lead coils. Fabricate in West Bridgewater, United States per latest revisions of OSHA approved SDS & Conflict material, CFSI_CMRT. This order equaled 141,400′ (Ref: 3,500#). Shipped to an oil slurry OEM for their assembly and manufacturing processes. These lead metal products are thin and flexible for our customers’ needs because the lead sheeting is so thin.
  • Special non-stock/noncancelable or returnable item(s): Lead foil: 0.008″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. The custom lead rolls were produced from the same lot number, per written purchase order. Lead sheets are used to protect the operator and equipment from x rays during testing applications of this government sub-contractor.
  • Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25lb rolls. “Type A” = Flat cap. Shipped to a Masonry and restoration company in Missouri for commercial and industrial uses.
  • Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 40’coils. “Type A” = Flat cap. Shipped to a housing engineering firm that restore old building and converts them into low-income housing in New York.
