Nuclead ships lead elevator weights for both one off and repeat applications, often lead counterweights, and lead elevator weights are custom manufactured to customer supplied drawings.
Nuclead manufactures custom lead molds as specified by customer blueprint or CAD/CAM file. Liquid lead or lead alloy is poured into these molds, the cast lead weights are subsequently machined to final specifications and finished either by plating, powder coating or painting.
Nuclead’s elevator weights have been used in buildings both old and new, in school buildings such as low-rise university facilities and in high-speed elevators in a skyscrapers
Lead Counterweight shipments
- Fabricate lead elevator weights complete per Sketch provided by customer: Price includes all applicable labor & materials. Each item weighs approximately 68lbs at 1″ thick. Delivered to a national elevator company for a repair job in Florida. The lead lift weights are certified and marked per written specifications.
- Cast elevator lead counterweight weights, fabricate complete per sketch provided by customer. Nuclead fabricated lead molds and poured to written specifications. The items are used in new building construction in Boston, MA.
- 3-ton lead counterweight order from Northrup Grumman for its Sikorsky helicopter division. These sophisticated lead weights are fabricating to extremely tight tolerances and weight requirements, per Northrup Grumman Blueprints.
- Provide lead counterweights per customer written specifications, for an OEM that manufactures high RPM CAT Scans.
- Fabricate custom lead molds and Cast lead into lead elevator weights per sketch provided RFQ. The 3-ton order was shipped to Florida and purchased by a national elevator chain. The custom lead weights are quoted and sold each. The lead weight must be fabricated to within +/- 1/32” to be acceptable by the customers quality control department. Nuclead produces lead weight using in-stock lead ingots and CnC machinery to fabricate 3-D lead molds. The order is then palletized and shipped via LTL carriers. All lead prices are quoted in writing in advance so there are no miscommunications between either party and the lead products are produced as intended with no quality nor delivery issues. The lead counterweight is an important part of proper elevator operation and safety. As an experienced secondary lead smelter, Nuclead can produce larger quantities at theses tight tolerances.
- Draw from inventory and deliver Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots. Sold to an ocean research firm in New England for lead counterweights of ocean sampling laboratories.
- Fabricate Pure Lead Material 60lbs each; Block Size: 3.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″lg; Profile: 54 Pref Code 9290 MCC:316-Source code 66: Per QQ-L-171 Grade B; Encapsulate with high build epoxy; Devran #235; Coating to be black color, 8.0 mils thick & cured. Shipped the lead blocks in Weatherproof packaging to a local defense sub-contractor for special counter-balance purposes.
- Fabricate Lead castings of Cast Lead Elevator Weight: 1.75″ x 6.25″ x 27.75″ with two, 1.00″ diameter holes, per customer supplied blueprints. Sold to an elevator company in New York for maintenance of a Bronx high rise.
- Fabricate lead molds and lead elevator weights per customer specifications. the lead sold was delivered to a company that is an American company that develops, manufactures, and markets elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and related equipment. The lead weights were preparing and delivered to a government facility for them to assemble the lead as required.
- CNC mill, lead molds and cast lead elevator weights, 1.00″ x 7.50″ x 45.75″. These lead elevator weights were fabricated per sketch provided by the customer. They are being installed into a new luxury hotel in the northeast for its grand opening. They weigh approximately 130lbs each.
