Nuclead Announces the shipment of Lead Lined Radiation Doors and Lead Radiation Glass orders

The Lead doors and Lead glass were shipped to customers in various parts of the USA.

West Bridgewater, MA, 3/28/2022– Nuclead a leading manufacturer and distributor of custom and standard lead products for research, industry and consumers announces the delivery of several recent orders for Lead doors and Lead glass.

Lead doors are typically used for radiation protection in the medical or nuclear industries. A typical medical application door may be used at the entrance to an X-ray room and consists of a steel or wooden door with lead shielding built in to provide the radiation protection.

Lead glass is also used for radiation protection in the medical and nuclear industries, where it is necessary to be able to have a view of the area that is under radiation treatment. Lead glass consists of regular glass into which lead has been introduced during the melt as part of the manufacturing process

Here are recent shipments of lead doors and lead glass

  • Fabricate Lead door(s): Wood, Flush/slab, no panels, 1/32″ Lead (Laminated thickness: approx. 1.38″-1.75″ + 1/4″ + lead” = Overall thickness 1.75″ x 24.00″ x 84.00″. Customer responsible for all prep, hardware, finishes and assembly. Delivered to a door company in California to be installed in a hospital project they were awarded.
  • Laminate Lead door(s): Wood – Natural Birch, Flush/slab, with no panels, 1/32″ Lead. Laminated thickness: approx. 1.38″-1.75″ + 1/4″ + lead” to an Overall thickness of 1.75” thick. Several sizes including W” x L” = 36.00″ x 84.00″ and x 48.00″ x 84.00″. Sold to an engineering and building firm in Florida, to be used as lead x-ray shielding doors.
  • Fabricate and sold Lead doors: Wood – Natural Birch, Flush/slab, no panels, 1/16″ Lead (Laminated thickness: approx. 1.75” thick. x 32.00″ x 80.00″. Delivered to a construction company in New Jersey for installation in a medical facilities x-ray room.
  • Fabricate and ship Lead lined doors: Wood – Natural Birch, Flush/slab, no panels, 1/16″ Lead x 42.00″ x 80.00″. Lead lined doors and lead lined drywall shields x-rays using nonferrous metals. When using lead lined sheetrock with lead doors it protects operators, people, and equipment, it is a safe environment. Nuclead sells lead lined wood doors and lead lined x ray doors with lead lined door frames for full coverage and full protection.
  • Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 12.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv shipped to a glass company in North Carolina for installation in a medical facilities x-ray department. The lead items are used as x-ray shielding to protect people and equipment from radiation rays.
  • Cut to specifications Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Nuclead cut the lead products to 36.00″ x 48.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv and shipped the x-ray glass to a general contractor in Wisconsin. As a lead glass supplier, Nuclead can ship x ray lead glass, lab glass and lead acrylic at a good lead glass price and quick delivery.
  • Cut lead and deliver Saf-T-Lite Lead Glass; Per ANSI Z97. 1-1984 and 16 CFR 1201 Cat.ll: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Sold several sizes of lead glass x 1.6mm (1/16″) Le x 11mm Thick x 150kV to a glass company in Texas for installation of a research and development laboratory.
  • Cut and deliver three drop shipments to a Florida based medical device company. Nuclead sold Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 24.00″ x 36.00″ x 3.3mm (1/8”) Le x 17mm thick: 200 kV: LX Laminated, 7mm+9mm. the lead radiation protection was shipped via LTL to the three sites.
  • Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 36.00″ x 48.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold x ray glass to a medical company in Minnesota for a new radiology department. This Lab Glass will be used as lead glass radiation protection of people and equipment.
  • Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. Sold lead glass shielding for radiation protection to cut 12.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Delivered to a medical facility in Minnesota for x ray glass. Lead lined glass is the best choice for this application for weight and cost. Lead glass price is much more economical than other materials like leaded acrylic.
  • Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. (W”) x (L”) x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. (W”) x (L”) = 43.63″ x 67.63″, (W”) x (L”) = 43.63″ x 67.63″ and (W”) x (L”) = 19.63″ x 43.63″. Shipped via LTL carrier to a construction company in South Carolina for a laboratory that specializes in radiation therapy research. Lead lined glass or x ray glass, is a perfect solution to radiation shield in environments were the operator needs to see through the lead glass panels and be protected at the same time.
