Lead Bricks
Nuclead can offer any shape or size of Lead Brick per customer specifications. Nuclead offers interlocking lead bricks that are tongue and grooved on four edges, typically used in the Nuclear industry.
Lead Bricks can be finished and polished to tight tolerances and coated to customer requirements.
Recent shipments of Lead Bricks
- Lead pour Nuclead Brand of Lead brick. Custom Lead Fabrication per customer specifications. Sold to Sandford University’s Platform Laboratory. The custom lead weights will be used on their platforms to enable control of big swarms of collaborative devices such as drones, self-driving cars and robots.
- Lead Cast and epoxy paint, custom Lead bricks: 11.50″ x 3.75″ x 3.00″, Painted for corrosion resistance with a small hole to accommodate hanging for paint. Delivered via LTL carrier, using truck load rate for this 10-ton order of ship ballast. Delivered to the Golden Gate commission in California for Tugboat Ballast.
- Fabricate and ship two tons of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″; Sold to a marina in Massachusetts for ship ballast.
- Fabricate and ship custom Nuclead brand lead brick. Sold 2,000# to a Physics Dept. in the southeast for radiation protection.
- Lead Cast: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″/ Delivered to a medical OEM in California to be used as X-ray Shielding for their custom site installation for a New Jersey medical facility.
- Lead Cast: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 1.50″ x 1.50″ x 4.25″. Sold to a machine shop in New York for their own value-added services.
- Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square Edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″: To be painted 100% coverage with Black with Durachem 235. Sold to an engineering, consulting, and manufacturing company, Nuclead provided a quick delivery for these special lead items with finishes to specifications.
Lead Rods
Lead Rods can be extruded as rounds, flats, tube, or many varied cross-sections. In addition, custom die can be manufactured to enable customer required cross section.
Lead rounds flats can be manufactured in any length up to 50# length, other cross-sections up to 10 feet.
Recent shipments of Lead Rods
- Lead Extrusion and ship: Lead Round Bar Stock 2.00″ dia. x 96.00″ long. Sold to a Farming corporation in the mid-west that uses the lead round bar stock as lead counterweight.
- Fabricate and ship one ton of 3/8” diameter round lead bar stock. Sold to a medical OEM that uses the lead materials in their product for leads heavy, soft properties. This customer wants to be able to bend the lead rod by hand and have the product stay as stable as possible during their processes, then moved back to original form again.
- Extrude Lead Bar Stock: 1.25″ dia. x 22 lb. lengths (Ref: 36.00″ long). Will conform to QQ-L-201f: Sold to a machine shop in New England for its own value-added CNC Turning center fabrication.
- Fabricate Lead extrusions of lead round bar stock: Fabricated to customer blueprints. These items are for a medical device company in the Northeast. Lead must comply to *COO*: United State of America; Raw pig materials for this order are fabricated by CFS Compliant Smelter(s) per IPC-1755. These extruded and fabricated lead items are used for leads heavy and soft mechanical properties.
- Extrude lead 1″ diameter round bar stock. Sold to an alloy & metals wholesaler in California for re-sale.
