The Lead Sheetrock will be used in the construction of X-ray rooms in hospitals and other medical facilities

All medical facilities typically are equipped with x-ray equipment, which is required to be installed in radiation shielded rooms in order to protect technicians and the public.
Construction of X-ray rooms requires the use of Lead Sheetrock, Lead sheets permanently attached to drywall sheets by adhesive. The Lead sheet typically overlaps the edges of the drywall, drywall screws are covered with Lead Screw Shields and the Lead Sheetrock edges are covered with lead seam filler all to ensure that the room is completely sealed from Radiation leakage.
Typically, the room will have one or more lead glass windows to allow the room to be safely viewed from the outside. The edges of the lead glass are also sealed with Lead seam filler.
Nuclead can supply all Lead Products required for the construction of X-ray rooms from its extensive in-house inventory. Shipments can be for individual Lead Products or for a complete construction package. Lead sheet rock can also be supplied with the lead lining bonded to specialty drywall such as moisture and mold resistant board.
For higher radiation level requirements Nuclead can supply lead lined plywood which allows for thicker lead sheet to be used.

- Produce a large construction material order for a medical center in N Las Vegas, NV. The lead construction materials included: Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock; Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/16″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock; Lead Seam Filler Tape for Corners, Utility, Cut-outs &/or Flat seams: 1/32″ x 1.25″ x 50 lbs. spool.(Approx. 220’/spool); Lead screw shield(s), 1/32″; Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 12.00″ x 18.00″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv; & Lead window frames: HM Steel welded borrowed Lite frame. Customer responsible for all prep, Hardware and assembly. Glass Size 12.00″ x 18.00″; x 4.875″ throat 1/16″ Lead lined.
- Fabricate and deliver Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 108.00″: 1/8″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. This general contractor in New York is using the lead shielding items for the new VA Medical Center in Manhattan.
- Laminate: Lead Lined Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″:1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Delivered to a GC in New England for installation of a local medical facility.
- Fabricate and lead lamination of construction lead package. Consisting of: Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/16″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock; Lead screw shield(s), 1/16″; and Lead Seam Filler Tape for Corners, Utility, Cut-outs &/or Flat seams: 1/16″ x 1.75″ x 50 lbs. spools. (Approx. 90’/spool). Delivered via Nuclead Trucking to a local General Constrictor building a new wing for a local hospital’s expansion.
