Here are some items we recently shipped to customers around the USA.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just needed to be cut to size or simply picked from our extensive in-stock inventory of lead products and some required valued added engineering services.
We did a bunch of commercial custom restoration projects and shipped lead for lead shielding projects this month.
Recent Shipments
- Extruded hard lead round per MIL-L-13283 (Grade 1). (1.0% – 2.5% Antimony (Sb): 1.00″ dia. x 14.00″ lg. Shipped the small custom lead order to a tool and die company in Wisconsin for its own value-added services. We have plenty of lead products in stock for quick delivery, such as lead weights, elevator counterweight and lead washers.
- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.25″ wide x 3/4″ joint depth x Three (3) 7′ long lengths. “Type B” = Inside corner cove cap; Per Government Service Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures. Shipped several orders, both via LTL (Less Than Truckload) trucking. Both restoration firms are located in New York. We fabricate all types of lead construction materials, including lead lined drywall and lead lined doors.
- Cut Lead Soundproofing sheeting: (1.50#) 0.024″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″; Re-roll mill fabricated product onto one solid fiber core. Shipped via APL Trans collect to a soundproofing OEM in New York. Syntactic foam, lead blocks and lead bricks can also be used as a substitute for lead sheets as a soundproofing alternative. If you are looking for cost-effective soundproofing material, lead is extremely dense and the most economical material per pound.
- Pick in stock Lead, 6% antimony: 1.00″ x 17.00″ x 22.00″, cut into machinable sizes for fabricate x-ray shielding for backscatter technology for board security imaging. The thick lead plates with antimony Sb alloy are used as lead shielding to protect operators and equipment during use on border checkpoints and waterway docks.
- Cast lead alloy per 2% Antimony / Lead Pb: (Allowance 5.3# each. Analyze to confirm 1% – 2.5% Antimony Sb. Must be certified to meet Mil-L13283 Grade 1, Lead-Antimony (For Use In Ammunition). Produce lead round bars stock 1.030″ diameter and cut Lead to 16.00″ long. This custom lead order shipped to a machine shop in Wisconsin for their value-added service of CNC lead items. The material certificates were analyzed and confirmed to ensure accuracy, as their end user is an Industrial contractor.
- A new customer wanted 30-Day terms, part of our value added services. We help clients like this as long as they have good credit. We used Dun and Bradstreet paydex to verify creditworthiness with a score of 76 or higher we work with you. This customer qualified for $40,000 in credit terms and purchased. Which allowed them to buy a large lead alloy plate of AMS-7721: 1/2″ x 36.00″ x 48.00″. We shipped the lead item to their manufacturing facility, where they will CNC mill the plate to the proper specifications provided by their customer. LTL (Less Than Truckload) 3rd party delivered the large lead sheets. If you want net 30 payment terms, let us know we will work with you.
- Lead Extrusions Lead Weather Caps 11/16″ wide x 1/2″ joint depth x 60′ spools and Flat cap. We have sold and delivered to a restoration company in Connecticut. We also sold and delivered a second order to an architectural terra cotta firm in New York City specializing in new construction with antique or historical designs. The items were delivered within days with our Trucking service as this order was urgent for the customer. Another order was delivered to New York with our Trucking in Nesconset, NY, and this last order also contained lead lined drywall, lead lined doors and lead weights for the elevator’s counterweight. All items were certified to ASTM-B-29 for this commercial customer’s request. When you need Lead products for your restoration projects, we can quote, produce, and deliver at record speeds.
- Using our CNC milling machines, we fabricated custom lead X-ray shielding for an industrial customer in Massachusetts. Using our Trucking, the customer received the order within days of use receive their quote. A 6% antimonial lead alloy plate was converted per specifications and prints for mobile x-ray units that scan docks for illegal contraband. This customer’s order for lead was used for commercial use, including syntactic foam components. The Lead Assembly goes into a lead lined box, also fabricated, to shield the operators and equipment from damage.
- Our CNC equipment, spin 2″ Lead Outlets @ 30 PCs./carton from using in-stock Tuyau PB/Copper lead pipe, Dross Free, Uniform wall. Dimension: 2.00 “id x .070″ wall x 5.25” long. We provided a sizable lead construction materials order to a national building supply distributor.
- Another custom order we did was for lead sheeting: 3/32″ x 48.25″ x 291.00″ into 8″ and 10″ strips. It was fabricated into lead coils at the customer’s facility and used as dead blow hammers that are spark free. When working with oil rigs, we use special dead blow hammers to prevent fires which is critical in these environments. We produced custom-cut lead products for industrial use, one of our specialties. Lead construction materials are essential when designing X-ray shielding, radiation shielding and plumbing applications. We carry many lead products for all these applications, such as lead lined drywall, lead lined doors and lead glass.
- Pick virgin pig lead and cast the lead product into 26# billets. The lead billets are used for an extrusion process, which produces lead construction items. They are then picked and sold to restoration companies across America and Canada. We built several lead weatherproofing applications and a monument restorationist in the Southeast. The order consisted of Lead T Caps is 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joints, Three 7′ long lengths and 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint x 40′ linear feet. All were flat caps, type A, per GSA specifications. Virgin pig lead is used to fabricate many of our products, such as elevator counterweights and lead brick and is used for lead smelters.
