Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Bricks, Lead Elevator Weights, Lead Sheet, and Lead Rolls.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Recent Shipments

  • Cast Square edges of Nuclead Brand, Lead Bricks: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Sold to a pharmaceutical manufacturer in California, after coating with epoxy finishes. The lead bricks will be used as lead shielding for research and development processes. Nuclead cast lead brick is made from pure lead ingots, them manufactured into the finished product. These lead products can also be used for lead lined boxes, lead weights or lead walls for radiation protection for the nuclear industry.
  • Fabricate lead mold and Casted Lead mirrored half Lead elevator weights per sketches provided with Fully dimensional half size prints provided with order. Delivered to a Georgia high rise for a nationally owned elevator installation and repair company. The elevator counterweight manufactured with lead weight materials and ingots weighed 2,000 lbs. for the total order. Elevators weights can weigh 5 lbs. to 200lbs each depending on the engineering applications. They are stacked to a total engineered lead weight. The counterweight of a lift should face upgrade for proper function. Elevators weight is required to balance the load in the cabin to the drive motors horsepower, to equal near or at, zero gravity.
  • Cut Lead Sheet: 0.06″ x 2.00″ x 12.75″: Sawed Lead Strips: Cut Tolerance +/- 1/64″ Length and Width. The tight tolerance cut lead rolls are used for man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), three axis digital compasses with high efficiency Lithium-Ion battery solutions. This commercial vehicle is used by entities around the globe for sensor development, general survey work, sub-surface security and research. All lead in certified by Nuclead per QQ-l-201 f and sold to a large government sub-contractor in the North-East.
  • Extrude lead for multiple industries and customers. The orders consisted of Lead Weather-T- Caps: both 11/16″ and 1” wide “Type A” = Flat caps, for lead waterproofing. Lead wire was sold to a national laboratory and produced into ½” dia. and 14mm dia. Pb wire can be used as an industrial and commercial metal because it is heavy and dense, and for its soft & bendable properties. With this order of lead wire was used by the customer as protection with micro nuclear fusion experiments.
  • Produce and sold lead construction materials to a description of, od 2″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 30 PCs. /Carton. X 5.25” long. The seamless lead pipe used for the manufacturing process will not crake under the high tensile strength required to stretch and form the lead metal for sale.
  • Ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25 lb. spools “Type A” = Flat cap. Delivered to a General Contractor in Texas for stone flashing of a historical building. The soft pure lead order will bend around corners and complex areas for a firm waterproofing fit. Lead is a heavy dense property that also very bendable in soft conditions. When alloyed with antimony, tin, or copper the lead alloys can be very stiff and used as bearing Babbitt for years of hard lead uses. Lead sheeting also comes in soft pure lead, hard antimony lead or chemical lead with copper alloyed. The conclusion, soft pure lead is the best material for weathercap. In general, pure soft lead is also best in most lead construction material applications.
  • Produce 0.010″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and pressure sensitive adhesive (“PSA”) with release paper on the other @ 4.00″ wide x 30′ long. Sold and delivered to a medical OEM for radiation shielding of their medical equipment. The very thin lead sheets are considered lead foil 0.021” thick or thinner. Lead foils also can be used for lead lining, x ray shielding in some applications and lead lined boxes and all lead lining.
  • Cast Lead Round 5.50″ Dia. x 21.50″ Long using pure pig lead ingots. All of Nuclead’s lead products are fabricate to customers written specifications and blueprints. This order of lead for sale was to the customers written specifications and certify with a certificate of origin of West Bridgewater, MA, our plant. The lead bars will be used at the customers machine shop for unknown finished lead shielding. Any casting voids must be held to a minimum while pouring and cooling. The process then is more difficult and must be cooled slowly.
  • Deliver Lead Extrusions: Weathercap: 11/16″ wide x 1/2″ joint depth x 60′ spools. “Type A” = Flat cap; Per GSA Codes: #452001S & #765601S. The lead items were received by Nuclead Trucking, to our customer in New Jersey for a stone masonry waterproofing project of government owned property. A slower shipment week gave the Nuclead crew an opportunity to get tooled up for many larger CNC lead machining orders in the cue. A lead assembly package pending, requires lead glass, lead lined drywall and lead sheets. The lead lining assembly will be CNC milled and smaller components of stainless steel will be CNC turned. The lead sheet metal will be epoxied to aluminum sheeting to fabricate a lead lined box for lead shielding. Another lead assembly order consists of lead ingots, lead bricks and syntactic foam for underwater exploration. All lead for sale will be certified to customers blueprints and written specifications.
