Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Recent Shipments

• Fabricate Special ad Custom Lead Foil: 0.010″ (+/- .0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. Rolls where all produced from the same lot number per customer written purchase order. Shipped to a radiation shielding OEM for government sub-contractors on Maryland. The thin lead sheets are lead lined into cavities to prevent leakage for aerospace applications. The lead shielding was delivered at all specifications with written material certifications.
• Extrude lead rods per alloy specifications of 1” antimony to 3% antimony, balance lead round: ¾” dia. x 24.00″ long. Delivered via Nuclead Trucking to a custom machine shop in Massachusetts for their own value-added services. The lead for sale was void free and will be for a CNC turning operation at the customer’s plant. When completed it will be installed into a x ray shielding assembly.
• Cut lead sheet: 1.40mm thick x 24.00″ x 48.00″, shipped to a cancer center in Canada for radiation shielding materials. The medical facility will be using the lead products as lead lining to reinforce lead wall panels in sensitive aeras. This is to protect people and equipment from damage.
• Cast Nuclead brand, lead bricks 2.00″ x 6.00″ x 12.250″, delivered via LTL trucking to a custom lift and elevator OEM in New England for custom elevator weights. The custom lead weights were produced quickly for an emergency need. The lead bricks were the best fit instead of lead ingots, as the tolerances are tighter and counter weight more accurate. The small cavity is also filled completely with lead brick, leaving no gaps. These custom elevator weights where also coated to protect the installers.
• Shipped to a historical preservation company, Nuclead brand of Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x 12’ special lengths. The lead was extruded into “Type A” = Flat cap and delivered via Nuclead trucking to the Maryland State government work site. This bulk lead order was produced with lead smelted by Nuclead. Pure lead products allow the lead items to be more malleable than hard lead materials.
• CNC fabricate flanged lead goosenecks 1.75″ diameter x 6” long @ 40 PCs. /Carton. Shipped via Nuclead Trucking to a wholesale company in New England for National distribution. The pure lead tubing made from per Tuyau PB/Copper lead pipe is perfectly Dross Free with Uniform 1.78 mm walls. The special lead pipe is the most ideal size for the best lead construction products available.
• Form using CNC lathe and sell 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton, using Tuyau PB/Copper lead tubing, Dross Free, Uniform wall. Dimension: 1.50″id x .070″ wall x 5.25″ long. Lead pipe is required for restoration projects of historical buildings to maintain the original properties as intended and provide the best function to modern standards and longest service life. Along with lead goosenecks, Nuclead provides all lead construction materials as; lead glass, caulking lead, lead doors, lead wool and lead flashing. Lead bricks can also be considered construction materials for power plants and high radiation shielding requirements. The lead outlets where delivered via Nuclead trucking, to a wholesaler for the east coast.
• Pick and ship Lead screw shield(s), 1/16″, and ship via UPS ground to a construction company on Virginia. The lead construction products are used with lead lined drywall, lead lined gypsum board and lead lined sheetrock for x ray shielding where fasteners hold the products to the building studs. All lead wall panels must have 100% full coverage to protect people and equipment from radiation while in use.
• Pick and turn with CNC Lathe, Lead round 6% antimony: 1.75″ dia. x 60.00″ lg. with certifications. Sold to a machine shop in Houston, TX for their own value-added services. The extruded lead wire alloy is being used for its stronger antimony lead properties. Pure antimony is a very strong and rigid element and used during the lead alloy process very often. Nuclead also uses virgin tin, copper and zinc to created standard and custom babbitt materials, and sporting alloys. They can also be used as elevator counterweight to make assembly easier making the lead sheets stiffer and less flexible. All lead bar with antimony alloyed with it, are sold in straight lengths. Thinner pure lead rod can be sold the same or in coils or on spools.
• Pick and ship new Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape): Certified to Order Requirements: >= 99.99% Pure Pb. Sold to an electroplating company that using the extremely pure lead ingos as lead anodes for a fussy plating operation. This extremely pure lead for sale is brand new and not exposed to any contamination. It is then smelted many times removing dross and impurities to obtain the exceptionally high purity.
• Lead cast round 2.93″ Diameter x 4.75″. Delivered to a specialty high performance and industrial clothing OEM requiring lead ballast for robotics assembly. The lead counterbalance is required to equalize weight for their CnC stepping motors to equal the load of high-speed movements. Lead weights are used to obtain the highest pounds per square foot. Lead ingots are cast into lead weight per customer written specifications and configurations. Standard lead ingot is not the best choice for this situation, as the entire cavity must be filled to save space in the equipment assembly. As a secondary lead smelter this is a perfect fit for Nuclead to provide the most economical pricing and lead time to its customer.
• Pick and ship Custom Magnum alloy of Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (0.100″ dia.). Sold to a commercial electroplating company requiring the lead shot as lead anodes. The special alloy consists of lead and antimony specialty engineered for this industrial use. Lead shot ballast makes the best fit to fit into small cavities of the plating processes.
• Fabricate at Nuclead lead factory, Lead 6% antimony plate: 4.25mm x 6.00″ x 6.00″. Shipped via LTL carrier to a machine shop in California for value-added services. The pallets of special lead products are shipped flat and packaged with stiff wood supports to prevent damage during the shipping process. The antimony lead sheet is being used as radiation shielding in a finished assembly. Lead shielding is required as opposed to cast lead brick for its manufacturing process of QQ-l-201-f.
• Pick and ship 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton manufactured from, Tuyau PB/Copper lead pipe, Dross Free, Uniform wall. Dimension: 1.50″id x .070″ wall x 120″ long. The lead tubing is cut into proper sizes and spun into the correct form for this lead construction material for restoration purposes.
• Cast Antimony Lead per chemical composition of MIL-L-13283, Grade 2. (9-10.5% Sb/ Balance Pb): Cast Lead Round: 1.38″ dia., x 24.00″ long. Delivered via UPS ground to a machine shop in Illinois of lead turning projects for their customers. The antimony price has a lot to do with the LME market daily. Market fluctuations are transfer down the supply chain and do affect the end user.
• Cut Lead Sheet Package into 20,000 lbs. of smaller individual sized configurations. The custom lead materials were sold and delivered via Nuclead trucking for a commercial application in a radiation cancer treatment research facility. The lead sheets will be used as x ray shielding for the new radiology department.
• Deliver Lead Soundproofing Sheeting: (1.15#) 0.020″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″; Re-roll mill fabricated product onto one solid fiber core and certified to customer specifications for government subcontractor custom and industrial applications. The lead foil is per ASTM-B-29 and will be applied as a lead lining to a stainless-steel assembly for an aerospace customer.
• Ship Lead Extrusions lead construction materials. The stone flashing 1.50″ wide x 13/16″ joint depth x 21’ long is a “Type A” = Flat cap. The process uses Pure Lead billet at 26# each, sized to 2.375″ to 2.625″ tapered 13.00″ long. Shipping to a general contract in North Carolina for a lead construction project, weather proofing stone walls. Pure lead ingots are required to provide the softest lead allowable for the repairs. Hard lead could be used, but soft lead is much easier and a better finished product. Hard lead would require antimony to be alloyed into the lead. This is a longer and more expensive process and not required for this type of application. Most industrial, custom and Commercial clients use Nuclead for its custom manufacturing capabilities, high quality and fast deliveries.
• Fabricate custom Lead foil: 0.005″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. This military application requires the rolls to be completed using the same lot number. The certifications provided with the deliver must confirm this requirement. Delivered via Nuclead Trucking to a special packing company for an aerospace project of radiation shielding, in Pennsylvania. The thin leas shielding is lined into lead lined boxes, requiring the thin lead sheets. The custom lead containers are assembled at our customer plant and shipped to a worldwide know aerospace provider. Lead lining is used to proceed people and equipment, creating radiation shielding.
• CNC Mill custom Lead gaskets 1.75mm thick ” x 2.147″ OD x 1.531″ ID in 20 pc lots, bagged and tagged per written blueprints. Nuclead shipped the order to a custom gasket and seal company in Quebec, Canada. The custom lead items are shipped to oil refineries for low heat and extreme compression applications. Thus, requiring high amounts of antimony, alloyed into the lead making it properties much harder. Al lead products for sale by Nuclead are fabricated to custom specifications for the industrial and commercial industries.
• Saw Lead Plate, QQ-L-201F Grade C: 3/4″ x 5.00″ x 40.00″, This custom lead product complies with ASTM B29 Copper-Bearing Lead. Nuclead used an LTL carrier to deliver the order to a machine shop in Washington State that specializes in government aerospace subcontractors. Machining lead is a difficult process and requires special equipment, venting and expertise. Nuclead highly recommends contacting an inside sales member for a custom quote instead of attempting this without proper training and safety precautions.
