Lead is a suitable material for Lead Gaskets, Lead Washers and Lead Seals, as it malleable, ductile, radiation blocking and resistant to corrosion.
Nuclead can manufacture both standard and special grades of lead washers, lead seals, lead shims and lead spacers. Call for quote for any size or shape. Lead Seals and Lead washers can be manufactured to custom drawings and specifications.
Here are recent shipments of lead washers and Lead Seals.
- Fabricate lead seals per customer supplied blueprints using Nuclead supplied Lead sheeting: 3/8″ x 60.25″ x 60.25″ per QQ-L-201 f. The seal must shear at the correct tensile strength per blueprint for a defense contractor application.
- CNC machine lead shear seals per customer blueprints. These lead seals are used for a defenses contract and must be within specifications, so they shear at the perfect tensile strength for an aerospace application.
- Fabricate per customer blueprints and written specifications, lead washer seals. This repeat customer purchases these items often and using the lead washers for lead vapor seals during their assembly process of the equipment they fabricate.
- CNC Machine lead seals and washers using Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 60.00″ x 68.00″; Per QQ-L-171 Grade A. the machined items are sensitive tolerances within +/- 0.002” and need to be certified, documented and QC’ inspected. Nuclead delivered this lead products using Nuclead trucking.
- Cut Lead sheet: 0.047″ x 48.00″ x 48.00″ into production sized units. CNC Mill to fabricate lead seals. These thin lead seals are similar to a lead gasket, with a raised boss that colipases to create as seal. Sold to a sealing specialist firm in Pennsylvania for re-sale.to a government sub-contractor. Lead washers and lead gaskets are the best choice when soft properties are required to make a seal. Lead gasket material also comes in alloys to harden the lead gasket if required.
- CNC Machine to customer blueprints, lead seals and lead gaskets. The lead sheet products are CNC milled from square ½” lead sheeting blanks per QQ-L-171 Grade A. Lead washers and lead bushings are produced in the same manner when ordered. Nuclead can manufacture lead to any size lead spacers, gaskets, and washers to CNC Machine lead seals and washers using Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 60.00″ x 68.00″; Per QQ-L-171 Grade A. the machined items are sensitive tolerances within +/- 0.002” and need to be certified, documented and QC’ inspected. - Fabricate CNC milling large sound dampening lead washers: 0.937″od x 0.562″ id x 0.625” thickness (+/- 0.003”). Used for lead sound proofing of an OEM that produces paper milling machinery.
- CNC machine thousands of Lead Washers: 0.937″od x 0.562″ id x .0625 thickness. Drop-shipped the customer’s order to a federal buyer in Texas. The lead washers will be used as compression items to hold balance of sensitive electronic equipment because of leads heavy and soft chemical properties.
- CNC Machine Lead washers 0.084″ Thick x 1.142″ OD x 0.334″ ID. Delivered to the US Bureau of Reclamation. The custom lead washers were manufactured using our best lead gasket materials. The lead washers will be used as lead spacers for testing purposes.
